EmilyDickinsonwasbornonDecember10,1830,inAmherst,Massachusetts.Sheattendedschoolforonlyoneyear.Throughoutherlife,sheseldomleftherhomeandvisitorswerefew.Shelivedinalmostcompleteisolation(隔离)fromtheoutsideworld.
