Thefirststepisagoodrésumé(orcurriculumvitae,CVforshort).Itshouldbeclearandconcise,withthemostimportantitemsonthefirstpage.Itshouldincludeyourname,address,phone,andyourfax,email,mobilephoneifyouhavethem.Theworstthingwouldbeifsomeonewantedtointervieworhireyoubutdidnotknowhowtofindyou.Thekeyitemsinarésuméincludeyourjobobjective,youreducation,yourworkexperience,yourhonors,awards,youraffiliationsandanyofficesheld,andanythingelseyouthinkwillhelpyougetthejob.Somecandidatesincludehobbies,interests,personalinformation,references,etc.Othersdonot.Suchitemscomeattheendoftherésumé,withreferencesasthelast.
