大家下午好，今天很荣幸能代表升学指导团队上来发言。

也许这是我们最后一次跟你们唠叨。

其实我更想借今天和你们一起来回温一下我们三年美好的，因为我是跟大家几乎一样的时间进入这个宁外AP.当我得知自己要带一整个班的时候，我的心里既兴奋又忐忑，我不知道自己能不能在三年里给到你们足够的帮助，能不能帮你们成为今天你们想成为的人。

但是今天看到你们我觉得很欣慰，也很放心。

因为你们都独立完成了自己的大学申请，完成了人生中一次重大的转折。

现在你们要毕业了，我还是会依然在这个岗位上，多年以后再想起你们，我们会觉得有你们这群学生朋友，是我们这份工作最大的收获和财富。

真的很感谢大家对我们的信赖，让我们慢慢的变成了大家倾诉的对象，不仅仅是关于你们的学习。

还有你们的生活。

比起师生关系，我们更像是朋友。

现在回忆起来，发现我们好多的聊天时间都不是在学校的时间，而是我们在家里拿着筷子正要吃饭，在沙发上敷着面膜休息，或者是在我们跑步健身的时候，前几天深夜我还收到孙浩岚的微信，询问关于入学和签证的问题，我发现三年的时间已经让我们变成了像家人一样的朋友，所以我们从来不会拒绝家人在任何时候向我们提出的帮助。

无论是在深夜还是在清晨。

不知道大家还记不记得三年前自己初来国际部的样子。

当时我就一直幻想着当你们毕业的时候会是怎样的场景…去年的这个时候，我们还在催促你们完成个人文书，完成简历。

但是现在，我要告诉你们生活并不是一张列着学识和成就的清单。

你的简历，你的证书并非你们的生活。

我们希望18岁的你们进入能在美国，加拿大，澳大利亚，迪拜，日本等这些国家的高等学府时，受到的教育有一天能触及他人的生命。

无论是大到研究出治愈癌症的药物，还是小到在你工作的酒店门口递了一杯热茶给流浪者。

三年过去了，让我最欣慰的事，不是你们申上排名多高的学校，而是你们都明白了自己的路该怎么走，并且勇敢的尊重了自己的选择。

一个国家的法律有好的也有坏的，一个学校的制度有好的也有坏的，一个老师或者家长的建议和指导有好也有坏的，只有学会倾听你们自己内心的声音，活的诚实。

才能够辨别什么是好，什么是坏。

我相信你们在AP的这三年已经学会这个最重要的技能。

今年秋天，你们就要离开宁外，离开中国。

但是我们希望你们能记得，有个温暖的”家”在你们身后，累了乏了，有开心的事情想要分享了，都可以随时回来，就像这三年一样，坐在我们身边，娓娓道来，就像不曾离开那样。

最后我想借用乔布斯的一句话提醒大家，也督促大家，离开我们以后，虽然少了唠叨和执念，但你们一定要Stayhungry,stayfoolish,永远相信自己的潜力，但必须保持谦虚严谨的态度。

只有这样，你们才会有更大的提升的可能性，在四年后再为我们带来惊喜！

Lastly,leaninwhichisthetitleofSherylSandburg’smemoir.ThroughoutthreeyearslivinginAP,wegrowfrom“greenhands”toskillfulcarpenters.WehaveMr.XiaoalwaysstoodlikeanAvant-guardinfrontoftheAPbuilding;wealsohaveMs.Wen,Dr.ChenandMs.Hongtosuperviseourlifeinallaspects.WehaveMr.Wilkin’sinfinite“deals”.Wealsohavecounselorstolistentoouropinionsandhelpourcollegeapplication.EvenfacingwiththeEDdisaster,Dellastillledthewholecounselingteamwithperfectaplombfromone-to-onerelocatingschoolstorevisingouressays.Nomatterhowlateitwas,theywerestillintheoffice,arrangingourprofiles.Nomatterhowimportantthefestivalwas,theystillkepttrackingourapplicationinformationonline.AswhatConfuciussaidinAnalects,“Teachersreasonstudentswithheartandtouchstudentsbytruth.”Butinthefuture,inordertoleanin,wehavetouseourselves.Wewillsoonstrugglewithfreshmanlife,withinternshipopportunitiesevenmakingrelationships.Allofthingsjustlikeajunglegymwithoutanyladderforhelp.However,nevergiveup.Wewillsoonhavenewprofessors;newadvisorsandalsowecanlistenfromothers’constructedfeedbacks.Theonlythingweneedtodoistobemodest,morethinkingandtoleanin.

Todayisadayofcelebration,wecelebratedourcompanionship,hardworkandpastefforts;todayisadayofgratitude,wearegratitudetopeoplewhonurtureandhelpusalongtheroad,especiallyourparents;todayisadayofreflection,thoughwemayburstourtears,westillhavetoknowourdirectionandbesureofwhatkindofdifferencewewanttomaketoourselves,tosurroundingsandtotheworld.

大家好！

我是6班郭子立同学的家长。

今天非常荣幸作为家长代表和AP大家庭共享喜悦和成果。

Goodafternoon.IamthemotherofBillyGuofromClass6.Iamhonoredtosharetheachievementandjoywithyouallasparentrepresentative.

回想这三年来孩子的成长，身为父母的我们倍感幸运、幸福。

三年前，我们全家面临着一个选择：

读普高还是来AP?

最终是儿子确定了美国大学的梦想，让我们走入AP中心。

清晰记得第一次到成老师的办公室，她一见儿子就说这孩子怎么又瘦又小，其他事情先不做，先开始游泳，提高体能才能有以后的战斗力！

进入宁外，孩子的快速适应离不开班主任，生辅老师，外教和升学指导老师的快速和全面介入，最快最明显的变化是儿子身体和个性都茁壮了，活泼了，并且什么都和我们点点滴滴的分享。

为了能更全面渗透，在高一的夏天，在学校提供的一系列项目中，我们选择参加耶鲁的SIG营地。

心如所愿，儿子在大部分是美国学生的两周的营地后，他的口语能力飙升，他的团队和领导力更加国际化，还惊喜的捧回”美国队长”（TEAMCAPITIAN）奖杯。

tobeenrolledintoAPorgotothenormalseniorhighschool.FinallyBillydecidedforhisdreamtogoabroadtoUSforhisundergraduatestudies.IrememberclearlyhowDellateasedBillythefirsttimeinheroffice:

“Youarephysicallytootinyandweak.Forgetaboutalltheotheracademicgoals,goswimmingandbestrong.”AftercomingintoAPcenter,Billywasamazinglyorientatedintoallthenewsystemduetothesupportandhelpfromallthefacultieslikeheadteachers,dormteachers,APteachersandcounselors.Billywasmoreopenandstrong,speciallysharingallofhislifewithusallthetime.InthesummerofYear1,wechoseSIGprograminYale.AfterbeingimmersedintothetypicalAmericanlifefortwoweeks,Billy’soralEnglishisenhanceddramaticallyaswellashisteamworkandleadershipskills.Surprisinglyhewasawardedas“TeamCapitan”.

我和他爸爸都在外贸行业，耳濡目染的儿子也喜欢上了商科。

经过升学指导李老师和成老师的一次次潜能挖掘，一次次鼓励和头脑风暴，在准高二儿子创立了商业风暴社：

从社团招募，团队整合，到结合自身所学的精算课程亲自给社团授课，都让我们看到了他对兴趣的追求和坚持。

更出人意料的是，瘦小的儿子胆儿越来越大，带领社团参加杭外的商赛、上海的全国赛、芝加哥的国际赛，参与成就蜕变，一步又一步的夯实了儿子的梦想。

众多的学术竞赛中，宁外丰富的AP课程和中方课程，真正帮助儿子武装了足够强大的学术能力。

BothhisfatherandIareinthebusinessfieldformanyyears,whichalsoinfluencedBillytobeinterestedinbusiness.Aftermanybrainstormingandtalkswithcounselors,Billywasencouragedtosetupthefirstbusinessclubnamed“BizStorm”.Recruitment,training,teambuilding,weseehisgritinthispassion.HeisalsomoreandmorebraveandinitiativetoleadtheteamtocompeteinHangwai,ShanghaiandChicagoforallthedifferentlevelsofbusinesscompetitions.Thisbuildsupmoreofhisfutureplan.ThankstothediverseandrigorofAP&Chinesecurriculum,Billyisarmedacademicallycompetitive.

在高二的家长面谈中，升学指导老师建议暑假期间我们带儿子去拜访下想申请的美国大学，并精心筛选了学校列表。

足够疯狂的是，我们家真的去了。

在美十天从波士顿到南卡拜访了十所学校，每次造访的家庭中只有我们一个中国家庭，而且所有学校都知道宁外AP,认识我们的升学指导团队，招生官们对于我们尤为关注和耐心，而我们选校和申请就不再是纸上谈兵，不再是仅用排名为依据。

高三申请季，周围很多亲友都建议我们选择外面的中介，这样才能”包装”,才能”放心”,才能”申的好”.而成老师和我们见到的招生官都一直强调诚信申请，强调这个过程孩子的自我认识和成长。

为此我们和儿子进行了长谈，儿子很坚决，说学校里这么多大学来访的接触，他已经深知文书内容一定要自己写，真实诚信是他想体现的重要价值观。

最后，我们选择相信儿子，相信学校，相信成老师。

值得一提的事，申请过程中，儿子一直抓住和招生官刷脸的机会，尽享了很多AP的平台和资源。

因为有透明的申请过程，直接的推荐和三方的合力，儿子接连拿到10所大学的录取和很多奖学金。
