Studentslikemuchoftheedgesgems,differentaspectsfromdifferentanglescanemitbrightlight.Aslongastheteacherisgoodatfindingandmining,itcanmaketheflashingadazzlinglight.Studentsduetotheinnatequalitiesandculturalenvironment,thefuturetodifferentfamilybackground,etc.Therearediversityandrichness,thediversityandrichnessinintelligencetypedifferences,learningstyleandpersonalitydifferences.ProfessorQianfromBeijingnormaluniversity'sinstituteofeducationsaid,wealsomustadmitthestudentindividualdifferenceineducationoftheobjectivereality,weshouldbegoodatdiscoveringandrespectingstudentlearningdifferences.Asakindofeffectiveteachingresourcestodevelop,toaccept,thustrulyaccordingtotheiraptitude,inthefoundationtomarrowdifferencesorenlargedifferencesinsomerespects.Asateacher,whenweinausualteaching,shouldtrytogivestudentscreatea"dayforthebirdfly,searichbydiving"ofsomething,fullytapthepotentialofeachstudent,tomakeeverystudentcangethealthydevelopment,soastocultivatemoretalentsforthesociety.

AlongwiththeNewCurriculumStandardcomingout,educationofstudentrequiresnewideastoachievemoresuccess.Sinceeverypersonisdifferentfromothers,andeveryonehashisorherownpersonality,moreandmoreattentionshavebeenfocusedondifferentiatedinstruction.

Weviewedsomepapersaboutdifferentiatedinstruction,andfoundsomeideasabouthowtodealwithstudents’diversityandhowtogiveeffectiveinstruction.

Aboutdifferentiatedinstruction,bothChinaandothercountrieshaveputmanyeffortsontheproject.Tosomeextent,someforeigncountriesevendidbetterthanus.PresentlytheeducationsystemofChinaisstilltest-orientedforminfact.Althoughourgovernmenthasadvocatedthatweshouldchangeourtest-orientedformintoquality-orientededucation,wealsofindit’sverydifficulttochangeoureducationsysteminChinesepresenteducationenvironment.

Asthedevelopmentofeconomic,manystudentscangotoschool,especiallywiththereformandopen-doorpolicycarriedout,thousandsuponthousandsforeignvisitorsarecrowdingintoourcountry.SothetrendoflearningEnglishirreversible,butnotaseasyasourmotherlanguagelearningto,theEnglishisablankforus.Sohowtomaketheforeignteachingmoreeffectiveisourresearch’skeypoint.

Asthedifferencesofvariousstudents,thetaskbecomesmorecomplex.Andmanyexpertspaidmoreattentiontotheteachingofclassroom,oneofthefamousEducationalLeadership-CarolAnnTomlinsongiveherspecialviewsaboutthedifferentiatedclassroominthemappingaroutetowarddifferentiatedinstruction.

Inthepassage,therearethreeclassrooms,threedifferentteachersteachingwiththedifferentialmeans.Thefirstoneusesthetraditionalways-makingthemarksandnotesinthetextfortest,lessunderstandingandengagement,noconceptsandnoguidingprinciples;thesecond-interestedbutnotdifferentiatedmeans,enjoyingtheclassbutjustforfun,havingnottheunderstandingoftheimportantpointsthereisnoinstructionalclarifyandnobasisforsensibledifferentiation;thethirdonedevelopanalternativeapproachtoinstructionalplanningbeyond”coveringthetext”,italsoneedstotakenotesanddoresearch,eventhinkingaboutwhattheylearned,itshowstheconnectionbetweentheirownlivesandlifelongago,theteacheractthebestguidetotheirlearning,therearemoreunderstandingandmoreengagement.

Successfulteachingrequirestwothings-studentsunderstandingandstudents’engagement,studentscantakedifferentroadstothesamedestination.Sotheteachersshouldeffectivelyguidestudents,becausetheguideknowhowtoachievethedestinationalongherwayatgiventime.

3.IndividualDifferences

3.1ConceptofIndividualDifferences(by钟余)

Personalityisaveryimportantfactorinaperson'scareer,alsocalledhumandignity,whichisthecombinationofalltheratherimportantandenduringpsychologicalcharacteristics.Personalityisformedinacomplexsituationwhichdeterminedbymanyfactors,includinggeneticfactors,biologicalfactorssuchasphysiologicalmaturity,socialfactorssuchasnaturalenvironment,culturalenvironmentandthefamilyandschooleducation.Duetotheinfluenceofgeneticandacquiredfactors,eachperson’spersonalityisquitedifferent.Thedifferenceismadeupofindividualmentaltendency,mentalcharacteristicsofindividualdifferencesanddifferencesofself-awarenessinseveralaspects,complicatedinteraction,organiccombinationofcomplexmulti-leveloverall.

Theexistenceofindividualdifferencesisthepremiseandfoundationoftheexistenceanddevelopmentofpersonality.Itusuallyreferstotherelativelystablefeatureswhichdifferentfromothers’intheinternalstructureandexternalbehaviorcustom.Inphysiologicalaspect,thedifferencesaremainlyshowedingender,age,height,physique,physicalfitnessandsenseperception,andracialdifferences.Inpsychologicalaspect,themaindifferencesmanifestinknowledgestructure,thetypesofintelligence,interest,hobbies,motivation,andemotionwills.

 

3.2Thebehaviorsandfeaturesofindividualitydifference(by程小芳)

3.2.1theperformancesofindividualitydifference

Thebasicpointofqualityeducationistoallowdifferentiatesandnounderachievers.Oneleafisnotassameasanotherintheworld,soarestudents.Theirdifferencesperformeverywhere,andcanbediscussedfromtheseaspects:

Students'personalitydifferences:

Theyperformedintheirattitudetowardrealityandthewillfeaturesintheactivity.Suchaswhetherhaveaspecificaimoraspiritofinitiativeetc.

Students’interestdifferences:

Interestissareflectionoftheindividualsubjectiveinitiative.Everyonehasowninterest,especiallyisclearforstudents.Someonelikesliteratureandhopetolearnmore,butothersareindifferencetoit,justsosowillbeOK.Whatismore,someonelikessomethingduringaperiod,interestwilldisappearslowlyafterthattime.

Students’abilitydifferences:

Differentstudentspayattentiontothememory,perception,observation,imagine,generalability,literature,science,artandotherspecialtalentisalsodifferent.

Students’learningmethodsdifference:

somestudentslikereadingorwritingtomemorizeknowledge,afewlovethinkingwhattheylearnedandfindalogicalconnect;littlestudentsarequick-wittedbuthavenotfindthecorrectanswer,otherstudentsareslowinreactingandaccuratelylocktheanswer.

Asthedifferencesofpersonality,interest,abilityandlearningmethod,producingthedifferentiatedstudents.Teachersshouldmakefulluseofthedifferenceamongthestudentsforteaching,itcanbeatreasure.Thenthecreativityandaspirationtoknowledgeofstudentscanbereallymotivated.

3.2.2thecharacteristicsofindividualitydifference

Thedualityofindividualitydifference.Gardner'smultipleintelligencestheorytellsusthatintelligenceisdiverse,includinglanguage,logic,mathematics,space,exercise,music,relationships,introspection(self-awareness)andnaturalobservationofeightkindsofintelligence.Theeightkindsofintelligenceistousedifferentarrangementtostudentsinthebrainandmakeupthedifferentpersonality.Apersonalbodymovementintelligenceisadvantage,hewillrelativelybetterinsports.

Thedevelopmentofdynamicindividualitydifferences.Everythingischanging.Becausethestudentsareinrapidgrowth,thestudents'psychologicalqualitiesarenothigh,buttheplasticitiesareverystrong,thedifferencesbetweenthemcanbeimprovedandmadeupforthedayaftertomorrow.Soasateacher,weshoulddigthegreatpotentialofstudentsandcultivatetheiroverallabilitiestomakegreatprogress.Everyoneisauniqueindividual.

3.3Twosidesofstudent-differencesinteaching(by钟余)

Theexistenceofindividualdifferencesplaysanimportantroleineducationandteachingwork.Itexistsalongwiththeexistenceofhuman,andtakespartineducationactivitiesasarolewhichasapartofthewholelifeofstudent,andwillinevitablymakeaprofoundandunavoidableinfluenceonallaspectsofeducationandteaching.Inordertomakeanachievementinquality-orientededucation,wemustacknowledgeandrespectpeople’spersonalitydifferences,consideringstudents’differencesofteachingworksinapositiveway.
