二、课程简介

《BEC商务英语》是国际贸易与国际商务专业本科学生的专业英语必修课。

根据公务或商务工作的实际需要,对学生在一般工作环境下和商务活动中使用英语的能力从听、说、读、写四个方面进行全面提高。

《BEC商务英语》中课程内容与BEC考试相关,通过本课程的学习,学生可以熟悉此商务英语考试的流程和内容,并且提高实际工作环境中应用英语的能力,譬如英语工作面试,产品介绍,商品销售图表介绍,会议上讨论商务问题,掌握商务书信和商务报告的书写结构和技巧等。

BusinessEnglishCertificateisarequiredcourseforallthestudentsmajoringininternationaltradeandinternationalcommerce.Havingstudiedthecourse,studentscanimprovethefourskillsoflistening,reading,speakingandwritinginthecontextofbusiness.etc.ThecontentofthecourseiscloselyrelatedtothetestofBEC,introducingjobinterview,productpresentation,graphaboutthesalesofproducts,groupdiscussionatameetingaboutbusinessmatters,businesslettersandbusinessreportsetc.

三、课程性质与教学目的

本课程属于国际贸易与国际商务专业本科学生的专业英语必修课,是为培养商务英语人才而设立的一门重要课程。

本课程的开设旨在提高学生的英语实际运用能力,尤其是培养在以后工作中从事商务活动的基本能力。

本课程内容涵盖对外商务活动的方方面面---市场营销、人力资源管理、企业管理、组织机构、证券投资、服务贸易、广告宣传、跨国经营、金融保险、电子商务、信息技术、办公文秘、酒店餐饮、全球化品牌等广泛的国际商务知识。

通过本课程的学习使学生熟悉广泛的商务和跨文化知识,以具备从事对外商务活动的基本能力。

进一步提高学生的听、说、读、写的能力,提高语言理解和运用能力。

听力练习通过指导,培养学生能够寻找语境线索、分辨主次信息的能力。

通过完成各类活动使学生通过用语言进行交流解决问题,从而通过真实的交流交际提高口语表达能力。

通过阅读和写作练习,使学生掌握文体知识,把握语言的得体性,对诸如正式邀请信,商务函,商务分析,商务报告,备忘录,电子邮件等各种商务应用文体和结构特点进行了解。

本课程要把学生培养成复合型人才,就是要培养学生正确思想道德观念、具有国际化视野、在文化上充满自信、有正确职业价值观。

BEC是教育部考试中心和英国剑桥大学考试委员会合作举办商务英语证书考试。

该系列考试根据商务工作的实际需要对考生在商务和一般生活环境下使用英语的能力从听说读写四个方面进行全面考查,对成绩及格者由英国剑桥大学考试委员会颁发证书。

该证书由于其颁发机构的权威性,在英国、英联邦各国及欧洲大多数国家的商业企业部门获得认可,作为确认证书持有者英语能力证明的首选证书。

也是在所有举办该项考试的国家和地区求职的“通行证”。

现在该证书的功能已不仅限于求职,已扩展至进入大学本科学习的语言能力证明。

2.IntroductionofthefourpartsoftheBECexam

BEC共分三个等级:

BEC初级(BECPreliminaryLevel,缩略为BECPre.),BEC中级(BECVantageLevel,缩略为BECVan.),BEC高级(BECHigherLevel,缩略为BECHi.)。

考生可根据自己的英语水平自由选择相应级别报考。

考试分两个阶段进行。

第一阶段为笔试,包括阅读、写作和听力,第二阶段为口试。

考试时间分别为:

BEC中级阅读60分钟、写作45分钟、听力约40分钟(含填写答题卡时间)、口试14分钟;BEC高级阅读60分钟、写作70分钟、听力约40分钟(含填写答题卡时间)、口试16分钟。
