Thedesignerimaginedthisculturalfacilityasaplacewhereintensivedialogueisurgedbetweenartandpeople.ThegivensiteatHainanisablessedenvironmentofferingtheintensiveuseofnaturalelementslikelightandwind.Ourarchitecturalresponseistocreateadevicewhereonecanencountertheexhibitedartworkseitherin-oroutdoorbyincorporatingtheprovidednaturalresources.Thebasiclayoutshowsapeculiarconfigurationbymakinguseofthepotentiallayinginthegeometryofatriangle.Itresultsdynamicallychangingpublicspacesandcreatesaneaseofgettingaroundhorizontallyandvertically.Thedesignintentionistoofferspaceexperienceforvisitorsfulloffreshdiscoveries,andcreateanewrealmwheretherelationshipbetweenhumanandartcanbereevaluated.

设计师构想是把这个文化设施设计成为能够促进人和艺术进行激情对话的空间场所。

在海南岛美丽的自然环境中，希望在引入光和水等自然要素的同时，把建筑的内与外展开、使之成为与艺术邂逅的空间装置。

通过三角形的独特配置所衍生出来的富于变化的开放空间，更应为其拥有立体回流性，设计上可以实现让参观人员在每次来访时都感受充满新发现的空间体验，与此同时也创造出人与艺术的全新空间关系。

TheMuseumandTheaterarebothculturalfacilities,thefaceofthecity;symbolicelements.WehopethatimageofthisbuildingswillremaininthememoryofthepeoplewhovisitsHainanIsland.Ourimageistodesignthebuildingsinharmonywiththebeautifulsurroundingenvironmentandalsotodistinguishasindividuallandmarkswhichhaveneverbeenseenanywhere.

基地毗邻海南建丰度假酒店开发区的11号基地，城市规划大道从两片基地之间横穿而过。

11号基地将建起享有国际声誉的五星级酒店——威斯汀大酒店。

积极引入南侧绿地作为基地的景观呈现一片祥和绿意，夕阳西沉伴随西侧潺潺的流水让沿途风景引领游客徜徉在美丽的海棠湾是我们的基本设计理念。

Architecturethatdialoueswithnature

Wedesignarchitecturethatcommunicateswiththesurroundingenvironment（nature,light,water,wind,landscapeandtheexcitementofthepeople）.Wegeneratespacescomposedofsimplegeometries.Weaimtocreateplaceswherepeoplecancommunicatewithvariousgenerationsandwhereculturecanbecultivated.

Achievingharmonywiththeenvironment

Thesitefacestheriverconnectedtotheoceanandissurroundedbygrandnature.Inorderforustocreatearchitecturewhichharmonizeswiththeenvironment;weareplanningtomakeuseofthesurroundingnature.

Placeofinspirationandcreativity

Ourapproachistocreatespaceswithdepthbyinsertingthreedimensionallyexpandingexteriorspacesofsimplegeometricalcompositions.Onewillencounterlight,spaceandartsnotexpectedinordinaryarchitecturalinteriors.Theproposalistocreateasimulative,imaginativeandinspirationalatmospherefortheartists.

与自然对话的建筑

设计师一直在设计能够与光，水，风等自然要素以及美丽的环境，市民的喧嚣等周围环境对话的建筑，在由简单的几何学构成的空间中，生成多样性的空间。

我们希望在这里聚集的人们可以与自然及风景对话，与各个年龄层的人对话，将空间成为文化交流的场所。

与环境的协调

基地面向与大海相连的河流，被丰富的自然风景所环绕。

本项目设计的目标希望将外部的自然引入基地，创造出与环境相协调的建筑。

富有激情的创作空间

由简单的几何学的形体构成中插入立体延伸的外部空间，目标是为了丰富空间伸展。

在建筑内部漫步，可以与意想不到的光，广场和艺术邂逅。

这样富有激情的空间设计是希望能够带给艺术家更多的创作灵感。

Thedesignapproachforthisprojectistoplacetheresidentialunits,thegalleries,publicspacesandtheI.MaxTheaterinatriangularlayoutformingacourtyardinthecenter.ThevolumeoftheI.MaxTheaterandtheHallisbasedontherequestedscaleanditgivesanaccenttotheappearanceofthecomplex.

Byshapingthevolumeintoatriangle,aPlazaofcalmingatmosphereisformedinthecenter.TheWaterGardenenablescontinuousviewofwatersurfacestowardstheriver.Ontheobliquesideofthetriangle,weproposeasemi-outdoorveranda-likespace（OpenPorch）.Thisintermediatezonegentlytiesthetwoseparatequalitiesofexteriorspacestogether.

建筑规划上对艺术家工坊、画廊、公共空间，I.MAX剧场进行三角形的配置，设计形成一个公共广场。

大厅，I.MAX剧场按照要求规模合理设置体积大小，突出建筑的重点。

建筑通过三角形的形态架构，将三角形内部安静的公共广场与外部水面从视觉上连成持续的水庭空间。

在三角型的斜边处建造半室外的回廊空间。

这个外廊空间自然地将性格迥异的两个外部空间联系到了一起。

Thearchitecturearrangesthenecessaryvolumeinatriangularcomposition.Withinthetriangularshape,anenclosedcourtyard（Plaza）isformedfacingtheWaterGardentowardstheriverborderingthesite.

建筑把必要的功能体块排列成三角形。

在三角形内部设置广场，并在外侧面向河流的位置设计开放性的水庭。

Thehousingsplacedonthesouthsideofthesiteareprovidedwithsufficientlightandnaturalventilation.Allunitsaremaisonette-type,establishingavarietyoflivingspaces.Plantingtreesontheoutsidegivesprivacytotheresidents,andalsohelpstoblendthebuildingintothesurroundingenvironment.Wearrangedthegymaroundaswimmingpoolfacingtheriver,providingexcellentsceneryfortheuserstolifttheirfeelingswhiledoingsports.

南侧配置的工坊确保了足够的采光通风。

所有工坊都是各具特色的复式结构，为居住空间带来了变化。

工坊外部在协调树木种植环境的同时也确保了居住的隐私。

此外，面向河流的部分以游泳池为中心配置了健身房，使用者可以一边欣赏美丽的风景，一边进行健身活动。

TheGreenBeltextendsfromtheYachtPierfloatingovertheriver,towardstheOpenPorchandthePlazainthecenter.Thesemi-outdoorOpenPorchandtheGreenBeltprovideextradepthandextendthespaceoftheenclosedPlaza.

从面向河川突出的游艇码头出发空间一直延展到外廊，三角形的广场与绿化贯穿其间。

半室外的外廊空间和绿化带所围合的空间增加了广场的进深和宽度。

TheSunkenCourtofthePlazaispartiallycoveredandprotectedbydeepeaves.TogetherwiththetreesoftheGreenBelt,weproposevariousandrelaxingspacesforthePlaza.

广场和沉降式花园都设置了进深较大的屋檐。

大屋檐与绿化带的树木交相辉映，给广场和沉降式体育场带来了空间的变化并提供了休憩的场所。

MarkingtheedgesoftheopenWaterGardenandtheencircledPlaza,theOpenPorchservesasabufferzonetoconnectspacesofdifferentquality.Sinceitisasemi-outsidespacewithroofcovering,itissuitabletobeusedforoutdoorexhibitionsaswell.

在面向外围展开的水庭和封闭的广场的边界上设置外廊空间，起到了对两个功能空间的缓冲作用。

在屋顶架设的半屋外空间能够作为屋外展示场使用。

TheEntranceLobbycontinuestotheSunkenCourtthroughadoublehighopenceilingspace.Thespatialrichnessawaitingthevisitorshereisbeyondtheirexpectationbasedontheappearanceofthebuilding.

入口门厅通过挑空空间，与沉降式花园相连。

这样的设计为来宾带来一种惊喜的、从外观无法预测的宽阔空间。

LightandwindisbroughttotheundergroundspacesthroughtheSunkenCourt.Thedynamismofthespaceherewillinspirethecreativityoftheartists.

沉降式花园为地下画廊带来了采光通风。

富于变化的立体沉降式花园将成为激发艺术家们灵感的创作空间。

 Exhibitionspacesadopttheuseofnaturalsunlightthroughopenings.ThewindowfacingtheWaterGardendrawsclosethenaturalsceneryoftheoutside,andenablestoexperiencetheco-existenceofartandnature.画廊设置的开口部分可以引入自然光。

面向水庭的窗将外部的风景引入画廊，创造出艺术和自然融为一体的美妙空间。
