1/矩形阵列

例子：

（1）新建一个LED光源或者其他，作为待阵列元件;

（2）先定好视图，选择阵列平面

（3）根据图中步骤，做矩形阵列；

（4）参考软件help帮助文件，

将原来的元件删除，即为最终结果。

1、圆形阵列

（1）选中元件，要选定好视图X-Y平面，再点击阵列，不然出错，如倾斜。

出错的阵列。

（2）输入命令

CircArrayxyz0,0,05xyz20,0,03

得到如下结果

注意。

LT自带的LED库的LED模型坐标原点和LT的坐标系有些不匹配，所以阵列之后会出现坐标不匹配的问题。

SelectingObjectsbyType

LightToolsallowsyoutoselectobjectsusingdifferentfiltertypessuchasSolid,Primitive,Surface,etc.viathecontextmenusinthe3DViewortheSystemNavigator/PropertiesDialog.Buttheseselectionfiltersdonotincludesomeobjecttypessuchasreferencegeometryanddummyobjects.

Therearenumerouscaseswhereyouusedummyobjectstoaidcreation/modificationofgeometryinLightTools.Onecommonexampleistheuseofadummysphere（orapoint/coordinatesystemobject）asaspecificreferencepoint（alsoknownasatagpointforselection）forcomplexobjectsthatdonothaveadesirablereferencepointforselection.Byselectingthedummyreferencefirst,andthenselectingthecomplex object（s）, wecanuseourreferenceobjectastheselectionpointforcommandslikeCopy,Move,Rectangular/CircularArray,etc.Oneundesirableeffectofthisapproachisthecreationofadditionalreferenceobjectsthatcanaddcluttertothemodel.ThistiphighlightshowtousetheDataAccessHelperutilitytomaketheselectionprocesseasierforyouinordertoremoveadditionalobjects.

ConsiderthecasewhereyouwanttocreateacirculararrayofLEDsusingabaseLEDmodel,whichdoesnothaveadesirablereferencepointforselection/arraying.Byaddingadummysphereasareferencepoint,wecancreatethearrayeasily.Theremainingissueishowtoremovetheadditionaldummyobjectsresultingfromthearrayoperation.

Weendupwiththepictureshownbelow,aftergeneratingtheCircularArray.

a. Selectdummysphere

b. SelecttheLEDgroup（multi-selectusingCTRLorSHIFT）

Command:

 CircArrayXYZ0,0,01XYZ100,0,036

Inordertoremovealltheextradummyspheresyoucandothefollowing:

1.Hideallgroupsinthemodel.

a. GroupscontainthesourceandtheCADgeometryfortheLED

b. YoucanuseTools>UtilityLibrary>Miscellaneous>DataAccessHelper 

    utility

Enter“No”inthedatavaluefieldandclick“SetValue”buttontoexecutethecommands.Thiswillhideallgroupsandleaveonlydummyspheresvisibleinthemodel. 

2.Usetheselectiontoolstoselectallthevisibledummyspheres.“Inside”or“Outside”buttonscanbeusedtoselectallobjects. 

3.PressDeletetoremovethedummyobjects.

4.FromtheEditmenu,select“ShowAll.”SelecttheoriginalbaseLEDmodelusedforthearrayanddeleteit.

5.Thepicturebelowistheresultingmodel,afterdeletingdummyobjectsandtheoriginalbaseLEDmodelusedforthearray.
