Abstract

摘要

随着全球化进程的不断深入和发展，来自不同文化背景的人和国家距离变得越来越近了，尤其表现在经济来往方面。

不同文化背景、不同世界观以及价值观的商务人员在跨文化交往过程中不免发生各种各样的问题、误解和冲突。

这就要求中国的商务人员对不同文化进行研究，从而找到解决问题的方法和策略。

在跨文化商务往来中特别要强调了对相互交际的重视。

走向全球化的发展要求我们更注重商务交流的过程。

有效地交际交往能力成为了达到商务目标的主要因素。

值得我们注意的是商务礼仪在整个跨文化商务活动中都起到了非常重要的作用。

更重要的是不论在中国文化还是西方文化中商务礼仪都有着重要意义，尽管在中西文化中，商务礼仪有一些共同之处，但是也存在许多差异。

本文从观念和行为两个方面对中西商务礼仪沟通方面的差异进行分析，在观念差异方面从价值观、时间观和饮食观三个方面进行了详细的比较；在行为差异方面又从见面礼仪、交流用语、问候用语、赠送礼物的方式和社交距离五个方面进行相关的阐述。

最后得出要消除文化差异，就必须要做到相互尊重、加强文化学习和加强文化沟通与交流。

1.Introduction

Businessetiquetteisacodeofconductthathaslongbeenformedinbusinessactivities.Differentcountriesbecauseofdifferentculturalbackgrounds,valuesandnationalismandotherdifferences,businessetiquetteisbothitsinternational,butalsoitsnationalcharacter.ConfucianismandTaoismasthecoreofChinaandChristianityasthecoreoftheWestintheculturaldifferences,itwillinevitablyleadtoChineseandWesternbusinessetiquettevary.

EasterncivilizationandWesterncivilizationiscompletelydifferentfromthetwocivilizations,theirdifferencescomefromdifferentbackgrounds,differentcultures.Orientalculturehasalonghistory,whiletheWesternculturecomparedtoashortertime,andthetwocontrast,theculturalspiritisalsodifferent,theEasttoTaoistConfucianismasthecore,whiletheWesttoChristianityasthecore,thespiritofheroism,andtheyWithashortertimetocreateabrilliantcivilization.IntheChineseandWesterndifferentculturalandideologicalsystem,ithascausednotonlythedifferencebetweenChineseandforeignmoralstandardsystemandvalues,butalsopresentsawiderangeofbusinessetiquettecharacteristics.

Withtheacceleratingprocessofeconomicglobalization,tradebetweencountrieshasbecomemorefrequent,andeconomicfrictionhasincreased.Forpeopleengagedininternationalbusinessactivities,familiarwiththeritualsofdifferentcountries,masterthecross-culturalcommunicationskills,hasaveryimportantpracticalsignificance.

2.BusinessEtiquetteDifferencesintheformationofthereasons

TheculturaldifferencesbetweenChinaandtheWestarethemainreasonsforthedifferencesininternationalbusinessetiquette.Thepersonalvalues​​ofChinesepeopleareembodiedinthesocialvalues,andtheindividualvalues​​arealwaysjudgedinsocialrelations,andtheyadvocate'selflessness'ratherthanindividualself-Likea'countryculture',thepursuitofaliveandworkinpeace,harmonyandstabilityofthemoralandmorallife.Chinesepeoplevaluecollectiveinterestshigherthanpersonalinterests,againstsomeextremepersonalheroisminChina'straditionalculture,theChinesepeoplepaymoreattentiontopeopleandnature,advocatingnature,theperformmorecasualandinclusive,emotionalprocessingthinginculture.

Westernculturepaysmoreattentiontoindividualculture,pursueshumanrightsandadvocatesfreedom.Advocatingthefreedomoftheindividualtoplay,itcanbesaidtobea"personalculture”.Westernersaccepttheideaofindependenteducationfromthetimetheyfirstwenttoschool,sothatWesternersexploretheworldboldly,theyholdingthecuriositytheunknownthings,theydaretochallenge,morebiasedintherational.Westernershavethedesiretoconquernature,whichisdifferentfromChina'spastorallife.Istheso-called"tenmilesdifferentwind,eightdifferent",thehistoryofthedevelopmentofWesterncultureisdifferent,sothattheWesternbusinessetiquetteintheperformancedifferenceisnormal.

3.CulturaldifferencebetweenChineseandWesternersinbusinesscommunication

IntraditionalChineseconcept,thevalueoflifeisembodiedinitssocialvalue,attentiontosocialvalues,denytheindividualself-subjectivity,themoraloflifeisoftenassociatedwith"ecstasy”.Chinesetraditionalculturealwaysputtheindividualorselfinthesocialrelationstostudy,fromthesocialvalueofthejudgetojudgepersonalvalue,ratherthanstartingfromtheindividualtobuildsocialvalues.Itisthepursuitofagroupofharmoniousandstableethicalsociety,individualscan’tbeseparatedfromthesociety,individualshavepersonality,shouldcarryforwardthepersonality,butindividualscanneverbeplacedinthecountry,thecollectiveabove.

Thisnon-self-subjectivevaluesandWesternself-centeredindividualisticvaluesareverydifferent.Westernculture,theindividualisthesocialstandard,purposeandcore,thepursuitofindividualinterestsofactivecreativityistheinternaldrivingforceofsocialprogress,therefore,shouldbepersonalinterestsaboveallelse.Theyadvocateegoism,personalheroismandliberalism,advocatetheindividualhasthegreatesteffortstomeettheirownmaterialinterestsandspiritualenjoymentoftherighttoclaimthatindividualshavetheirownrighttoliveprivacy.

HerewehavetheChineseandAmericancultureontheageofthedifferentviewsonthedifferentvaluestoillustrate.

Americancultureattachesimportancetoyouth.Youthrepresentsthefutureandisasymbolofhopeandhope.Whiletheelderlyhavebecomerelativelyunattendedgroups.Incontrast,traditionalChinesecultureemphasizesrespectfortheelderly.Theeldersarethesymbolofwisdomandauthority.TherearemanyChineseidiomsthatreflectthisvalue.Suchas"swordisnotold","oldandvigorous","gingeroroldspicy"andsoon.IntheChineselanguage,theelderlyareoftenreferredtoan"old"wordtoshowrespect.Suchas"oldleadership","oldgentleman","oldcomrades"andsoon.Eveninthenamebehindtheadditionofan"old"toshowtherespectforthehighlyrespected
