(1)在“主语+be+adj.+todo”句型中,不定式作表语形容词的状语,不定式和句中的主语构成逻辑上的动宾关系时,不定式多用主动形式表示被动意义。
(2)不定式常用在作表语的形容词后面作状语,说明产生这种情况的原因,或是在某方面存在表语形容词所表示的情况。
能用于这种结构中的形容词常见的有:
happy,glad,pleasant,sorry,lucky,surprised,angry,able,right,ready,clever,foolish,quick,slow,polite,wrong等。
这类形容词既说明主语的情况,又与不定式构成因果关系。
