“be(或其否定式)+there”
eg:
1.Thereisadeskandtwochairsintheroom.
2.Therearen'ttwochairsandadeskintheroom.(否定句)
3.Isthereanythingwrongwithyourears?
(Yes,thereis/No,thereisn't.)
4.Therewasn'tameetingyesterday,wasthere?
Thereareseveralchildrenswimmingintheriver.
1)Thereis_____onthefloor.
2)Thereare_____onthefloor.
A.catB.waterC.boxesD.football
可数名词的复数形式前可以用any,some,few,afew,many或用数词+hundred/thousand/million,hundreds/thousands/millionsof,no等修饰;不可数名词可以受any,some,no,little,alittle,much等词的修饰。
例:
1)Therewere_____studentsinourschool.
A.hundredsB.eighthundredC.eighthundredsof
2)Thereis_____water.Youneedn'tgetsomemore.
A.fewB.littleC.much(b/c)
Thereisnothinginthefridge.
Thereissomethinginterestingintoday'snewspaper.
4.Therebe
Thereisnobodyintheroom,isthere?
Thereissomethingunusualintheroom,isn'tthere?
1)Thereis_____food.Youneedn'tbuyany.A.anyB.someC.no
2)Thereis_____food.Youhavetobuysome.
1)Thereisanappleandthreeorangesonthetable.
2)Aretherethreeorangesandanappleonthetable?
Therebe
等”这样的修饰句型,应用“It’s…here/there.”而不是“Here/thereis…”。

一、at,in
例1BothMaryandBettywillgetmarriedthisyear.Maryisgoingtobegintheirhoneymoon
ChristmaswhileBetty_____NewYear’sDay.
A.on;onB.at;inC.at;onD.by;on
例2Sufferingfromtheterribleearthquake,thevictimsoftenawakeseveraltimes_____thenightandsometimestheyevencannotsleep_____night.
A.in;atB.at;inC.during;inD.in;during
二、in,after
例3Hewentabroadforfurthereducation_____afewweeks.
Hewillgoabroadforfurthereducation_____afewweeks.
A.in;inB.after;afterC.in;afterD.after;in
Thetrainwillbehere________afewminutes.
Nohurry!
Thetrainwillbehere__________twelveo’clock.
Nohurry!
Thetrainwillbehere__________lunch.
A.after;in;atB.in;after;after
C.after;in;afterD.in;after;in
Theprojectwasfinishedinlessthantwoyears.
AdynamictraindoesthejourneyfromNanjingtoShanghaiinabouttwohours.
Wewilllearnaforeignlanguagewellinthreeyears.
三、on,in,during,for
on,in,during,for,这四个时间介词都可以表示时段。
1.in,on
例5ThehorribleearthquakestruckWenchuan_____theafternoonwhenIwastravellingthere.
A.inB.onC.duringD.within
morning/afternoon/evening/night前通常用in,具有泛指的意义,但如果要特指某一天的早晨(下午或傍晚),或对之有一定的描绘,换言之,如morning,afternoon,evening,night有定语修饰,则不能用in,而用on。
2.in,during
例6I’dliketocallonmyuncle_____mystayinBeijingthissummer.Inotherwords,Icanseemyuncleagain_____thesummer.
A.during;duringB.in;inC.during;inD.in;during
3.in,for
Ihelpedmyparentswiththehouseworkforthesummer.
Ihelpedmyparentswiththehouseworkinthesummer.
4.during,for
例7Therewasaterriblestorm_____thenight;itrained_____fourorfivehours.
A.during;duringB.during;forC.for;forD.for;during
例8Mymotherwasillinhospital_____twomonths_____thewinter.
A.during;forB.for;forC.for;duringD.during;during
四、by,before
例9ThedeadlinefortheassignmentisFriday,soyouhavetofinishit_____Friday.
A.byB.beforeC.onD.at
Bytheendoflastyear,alltheprojectsforthe2008BeijingOlympicGameshadbeencompleted.
五、from,since
例10The2008BeijingOlympicGameswillbegin_____August8,2008.
Allpeople,whethertheyareoldoryoung,richorpoor,havebeentryingtheirbesttohelpthoseinneed_____thedisaster.
A.from;byB.on;fromC.since;fromD.from;since
六、by,till/until
例11—Canwestayhere_____theweekend?
—Yes,butyou’llhavetoleave_____Mondaymiddayatthelatest.
A.by;untilB.by;byC.until;byD.until;until
LastnightMr.Crookdidn’tcomebackattheusualtime.Instead,hemetsomefriendsand_____out_____midnight.
Itwas_____midnightthattheyreachedthecampsite.
A.stayed;until;notuntil
B.stayed;until;until
C.didn’tstay;until;until
D.didn’tstay;until;notuntil
HesurfedtheInternetuntilmidnightyesterday.
Hedidn’tsurftheInternetuntilmidnightyesterday.
七、since,for
例13
Thevolunteershavebeenhelpingrescuethevictimstrappedintheruins_________threedays.
Thevolunteershavebeenhelpingrescuethevictimstrappedintheruins__________threedaysago.
A.for;forB.since;sinceC.since;forD.for;since
