SomanyfrozenfroglegswereexportedfromIndiatoEuropeandtheUnitedStates.OneoftheattractionsofIndianfrogs,apartfromthefactthattheyhavebiggerlegsthanFrenchfrogs,wastheprice.InLondon,apoundoffrozenfrog'slegsfromIndiacostabout£1.75,comparedwith£3.75fortheFrenchvariety.

Indianscientistshavedescribedas"disastrous"therateatwhichfrogsaredisappearingfromthericefieldsandwetlands,wheretheyprotectcropsbydevouringdamaginginsects.s
