Chapter1Introduction

1.1Overview

Mobileclientsoftware（directmode）,whichisbaseonmobilephone/PDAdevice,canbeusedtoremotelyviewthelivevideothatfromHIKVISION’sDVR,IPcamera,IPspeeddomeandDVSviawirelessnetwork,andPTZcontrolcanbeachievedaswell.

Withthissoftwareinstalledinyourmobiledevice,youareabletologontothefront-enddeviceviaWIFI,2Gor3G,beside,ifthereisnopublicIPfordevice,it’saccessiblebyusingadynamicname,orbyforwardingportstothepublicIPofrouter.

TheHIKVISIONmobileclientrequiresaJAVA（CLDC1.0,MIDP2.0）compatibleandInternetenabled（supportHTTPandsocket）mobiledevice,theavailablememoryshouldnotbelessthan2MBwhilethefrequencyofCPUshouldbehigherthan200MHz.

Chapter2DeviceConfiguration&SoftwareInstallation

2.1DeviceConfiguration

Theuserneedtoconfigurethenetworkparametersofdevicebeforeloginviamobileclient,andmakesureit’saccessiblewithapublicIPwhenloginvia2Gor3Gmobilenetwork.

Mobileclientisusingsubstreamforpreview,sopleaseensurethattheparametershavebeenconfiguredproperly,otherwise,youneedtoconfigurethemviawebserverorclientsoftware.Thefollowingtableincludestheparametersthatrecommended,youalsocanrefertothesnapshotbelow（enter‘remoteconfiguration’inclientsoftware）onhowtoperformthistask.

2.2SoftwareInstallation

Theinstallationpackageincludes:

.jadand.jar,copythesefilestomobiledevice,afterthefileshasbeentransmittedsuccessfully,applicationinstallationcontinuesatthemobiledevice.

Atthemobiledevice,whenpromptedto

installthesoftware,select‘YES’

Whenpromptedwithasecuritywarning,

Aninformationscreenappears,select

‘Continue’

Theinstallationdirectoryselectionwillprompt,

theusercanselectinstallto‘Memorycard’

or‘‘Phonememory

Note:

pleaseensurethememorycardhasnotbeenencryptedifselectmemorycardtoinstall,otherwise,themobileclientcouldnotbeactivatedafterreboot.

Theprogressindicatorwillappearinthe

processofinstallation,pleasewaitforthe

installationtocomplete.

Afterthesoftwarehasbeeninstalled

successfully,theiconwillbearrangedin

desktop,select‘

’application,thedevice

listinterfaceappears.

Chapter3RunningSoftware

3.1DeviceManagement

Ifrunthissoftwareforthefirsttime,the

deviceshouldbeadded,select‘Options’->

‘DeviceList’toenterthedevicelistinterface.

Thedefaultparametersareallempty,select‘Options’->‘Add’toadddevice.

Enterthedevice’sname,IPaddress,port,usernameandpasswordneededtologontothedevice,thenselect‘Save’.

3.2Preview

Afterselect‘login’,theloginprocesswill

appear

Ifloginthedevice,thechannelslistwillbedisplayedintheinterface,youcannavigatethedirectionalbuttonstoselectthechannelyouneed,pressbutton‘left’willgotopageupwhilepressbutton‘right’willgotopagedown.

Atthispoint,select‘Browse’willindicatethecurrentprogress

Youwillgetthelivevideofinally,select‘BACK’willexitpreviewandreturntothechannellist.

3.3PTZControl

Ifthecamerainfront-endsupportsPTZfunction,youareabletocontrolthePTZremotelyviamobileclient,select‘PTZ’tonavigatetoPTZcontrolinterface,select‘Options’andyoucanchoosetheneededaction,besides,italsoallowstocontrolvianumericbuttonsinthemobiledevice.
