Maximumpowerdetermination

Sinceasolarcellhasawavelength-dependentresponse,itsperformanceissignificantlyaffectedbythespectraldistributionoftheincidentradiation,whichinnaturalsunlightvarieswithseveralfactorssuchaslocation,weather,timeofyear,timeofday,orientationofthereceivingsurface,etc.,andwithasimulatorvarieswithitstypeandconditionsofuse.Iftheirradianceismeasuredeitherwithathermopile-typeradiometer(thatisnotspectrallyselective)orwithareferencesolarcell,thespectralirradiancedistributionoftheincominglightmustbeknowninordertomakethenecessarycorrectionstoobtaintheperformanceofthePVdeviceunderthereferencesolarspectraldistributiondefinedinthisstandardasspecified.Itisalsopossibleforauserorarraydesigner,usingthespectralresponseofthecells,tocomputewithinareasonabletolerancetheperformanceofaPVdevicewhenexposedtolightofanyotherknownspectralirradiancedistribution.

Formoduleswithanareaoflessthan0.1m2theinsulationresistanceshallbenotlessthan400MΩ.Formoduleswithanarealargerthan0.1m2,themeasuredinsulationresistancetimestheareaofthemoduleshallbenotlessthan40MΩ·m2measuredat500Vormaximumsystemsvoltage,whicheverisgreater.

Determinethetemperaturecoefficientsofcurrent(α),voltage(β)andpeakpower(γ)frommodulemeasurementsasspecified.Thecoefficientssodeterminedarevalidattheirradianceatwhichthemeasurementsweremade.Seeevaluationofmoduletemperaturecoefficientsatdifferentirradiancelevels.Forlinearmodules,theyarealsovalidoveranirradiancerangeof±30%ofthislevel.

3.Bentormisalignedexternalsurfaces,includingsuperstrates,substrates,framesandjunctionboxestotheextentthattheinstallationand/oroperationofthemodulewouldbeimpaired

4.Acrackinacellthepropagationofwhichcouldremovemorethan10%ofthatcell’sareafromtheelectricalcircuitofthemodule

5.Bubblesordelaminationsformingacontinuouspathbetweenanypartoftheelectricalcircuitandtheedgeofthemodule

6.Lossofmechanicalintegrity,totheextentthattheinstallationand/oroperationofthemodulewouldbeimpaired.

4.2.2Flashtest

Purpose:

ToconfirmthePVpanel’sreliabilityandtheveracityoftheflashdatareportgivenbyfromthefactory.
