Beijingwillallowmigrantworkers'childrentoattendlocalvocationalschoolsin2013andallowthemtobematriculatedbyuniversitiesaftergraduatingfromthevocationalprogramsin2014,saidastatementfromthecity'scommissionofeducation.

Shanghaitookastepfurther,sayingitwillallowmigrantchildreninthecitytoenterlocalseniorhighschools,vocationalschoolsandsitcollegeentranceexams（commonlyknownasgaokao）locallystartingin2014.
