Leifengpagodaisanotherrenownedscenicspotinhangzhou,Originallybuiltinthe10thcentury.LeifengpagodausedtostandinfrontofJingxitempleonnanpingmountain,thoughfailedtostandthetestoftime,thepagodacollapsedinearly1900s.In201X,leifengpagodawasreconstructed;thencomesbackthetypicalsunsetGlowoverleifengpagoda.

Itisthemostromanticsceneofthetenmat-see.ThestonearchedbrokenbridgeiswherethecharacterofafamousChinesefolktaleXuXianandabeautifulgirl,whoisactuallyawhitesnake,firstmetandfellinlovewitheachother.Afterasnowfall,whenthesnowonthemoreexposedsidehasmelted,withtheshadesideremainingwhite,itlooksasifalongwhitebelthasbeenrippedapartonthethusearningthename”meltingsnowonthebrokenbridge”.

10.TwinPeaksPiercingtheClouds（双峰插云）

SuCausewaybecameatouristattractionasearlyas1090.Thatyear,SuDongpo,afamouspoetintheSongDynastyandthegovernorofHangzhou,hadthelakedredged.Thesiltanddebriswerepiledupandformedintoacauseway.Inordertohonorthepoetgovernor,localpeoplenamedtheCausewayafterhim.Today’scausewayistheresultofmanyrefurbishingprojectsovercenturies.RomanticizedasSpringDawnbySuCauseway,thesceneryhasstayedonthetopofthebesttenresortsaroundtheWestLakesincetheSouthernSongDynasty（1127-1279）.

LotusFlowersintheBreezingWindingCourtyard

QuyuanPark（CrookedCourtyard）issituatednearthemouthofJinshajianStream,thebiggestnaturalwatersupplyintotheWestLake.

OriolesSingingintheWillows

OriolesSingingintheWillowswasrecognizedasoneoftheTenViewsoftheWestLakeintheSouthernSongDynasty,butbegantobeneglectedfromtheYuanDynasty（1271-1368）on.Theparkcamebacktolifeagain1950sbyaseriesofrefurbishingprojects.Today,theparkcoversanareaof21hectares,withluxurianttreessurvivingthepastdynastiesalongthewindingbank.Vastlawnsstretch,flowersarebright,pavilionsrevealtheirancientromanticstyle,birdsflapbyandgrassesshowtheirbestgreens.

ViewingFishatFlowerHarbor

FlowerHarbor（Huagang）ParkisadjacenttoSuCausewayconsistingofRedFishPool,PeonyGarden,FlowerGarden,widespreadlawnsandwoods,occupyinganareaof21hectares.Initially,theparkwasasmallprivategardenbuiltandownedbyLuYunsheng,animperialofficialoftheSouthSongDynasty.ThegardenwaslocatedneartheFlowerHomeHill.Insidetheparkwasafishpondandastreamnearbywasusheredintothepondforraisinggoldfish.LatertheprivategardenbegantogainabigfameinHangzhouasFlowerHarborandbecamearecreationresortforviewinggoldfishes.

LeifengPagodainEveningGlow

LeifengPagoda,ontheEveningGlowHillsituatedonthesouthshoreoftheWestLake,waserectedincelebrationofthesonhisfavoriteconcubine,HuangFei,gavebirthto.The7storiedpagodawasastoried–pavilion–typestructure,builtofbrickandwood.Intheancienttime,LeifengPagodaandBaochuPagodastoodfarapartfacingeachother.LeifengPagodaappearedtobeanoldgentleman,butBaochuPagodaappearedtobeabeauty.Whenthesunwassetting,thepagodabathedintheeveningglowlookedradiantlybeautiful.Itwasthereforenamedas“LeifengPagodainEveningGlow”.

TwinPeaksPiercingtheCloud

TwinpeaksaretheNorthernPeakandSouthernPeak.OnelocatessouthwesttotheWestLakeandtheotherlocatesnorthwestwest.NorthernPeakiswithanelevationof256.9meters,SouthernPeakiswithanelevationof355meters.
