本课程是平安工程专业的一门专业课程。

通过本课程的学习，使学生了解科技英语的特点，学习和掌握一定量的平安工程专业词汇，初步掌握科技英语的翻译技巧，提高和扩展英语阅读和写作能力，具备独立写好毕业设计或毕业论文英文摘要的能力。
