（任务一）
英语知识趣谈---英文趣味语法
1.比较级时注意只有同类事物才可进行比较。
如：
Myeyesarebiggerthanhers.
Yourschoolbagisheavierthanmine.MycomputerisnicerthanNancy’s.Mybrotherisstrongerthanme.
2.have,has表示某人有（has用于第三人称单数）；Thereis/are;Therewas/were表示某地存在有，注意Therebe句型的就近原则，单数或不可数用thereis/was;复数用thereare/were.
3.眼镜glasses;耳机earphones;鞋shoes;裤子trousers等词本身是复数。
如：
Myglasseswereonthechairjustnow.但如果表示这双，这副，一双的时候用单数如：
Thereisapairofchopsticksontheplate.Thispairofearphonesisforyou.
4.五个元音字母分别是Aa,Ee,Ii,Oo,Uu;
5.a用于辅音前不是辅音字母前；an用于元音前不是元音字母前。
如：
Thereisan’s’,a‘t’,a‘u’,
a‘d’,an‘e’,an‘n’,anda‘t’intheword‘student’.
6.时间表示法有两种（!
）直接读时钟和分钟。
如6:
10读成sixten;7:
30读成seventhirty;8:
45读成eightforty-five;
（2）用to与past表示。
在半小时包括半小时以内用几分past几点如：
6：
10读成tenpastsix;7:
30读成halfpastseven;过了半小时用下一个钟点差几分，如7：
45读成aquartertoeight;9:
50读成tentoten;
7.基数词变序数词的方法：
基变序有规律，结尾加上th;一二三特殊例，结尾字母tdd（即first,second,third）;八去t，九去e，ve要用f替（即eigh—eighth;nine—ninth;five--fifth;twelve—twelfth）；ty改y为ie后加th别忘记（即整十数如twenty—twentieth；forty—fortieth）;几十几十位为基个位为序（如第二十一为twenty-first）。
另外强调序数词前一定要加the。
8.日期的表示法用the+序数词+of+月如三月三日thethirdofMarch;12月25日the25thofDecember.
9.both表示两者都，如：
Myparentsarebothteachers.all表示三者以上都如：
Thestudentsareallveryexcited.
10.有day的节日前用on.没有day的节日前用at,如：
atChristmas;onChristmasDay;atNewYear;onNewYear’sDay.

Story 22 The Ox and the Dog
An ox and a dog serve for the same farmer.
One day the dog arrogantly says:
“How grand I am!
In the daytime, I watch out for the cattle in the meadows; at night, I guard the house. But you…” “Me?
How about me ?
” the ox says
“You can only plough or draw a cart,” the dog slightly says.
“Yes. It’s true,” the ox says. “But if I don’t plough, what do you guard?

Story 23 Go to the Cinema
A lorry driver, David is driving 200 penguins to London Zoo. But his lorry breaks down on the motorway, when another lorry driver, Robert stops in the front of him, David asks for help, and explains that he is taking the penguins to the zoo. Robert says, “Ok. I can help you.”
Some hours later, Robert drivers back and passes David. David is still on the lorry, and look happy.
“I thought I told you to take those penguins to the zoo.” David says.
Robert replies, “I did, but I had some money left, so I’m going to the cinema now.”

一个叫戴维的货车司机载着200只企鹅去伦敦动物园。
可是他的车在高速公路上坏了。
当一辆货车停在他面前的时候，戴维向司机罗珀特求救，并且解释自己要送这些企鹅去伦敦动物园。

Story 24 Wolf Is Coming
There is a naughty boy in a village. He likes telling lies. One day he wants to make fun of the farmers. So he shouts, “Wolf!
Wolf!
Wolf is coming!
” The kind farmers are working in the field. They hear the shout, and hurry to help the boy. But when get there, the boy says:
“There isn’t a wolf. I’m joking. The farers are angry and go back to their field. After a while the biy shouts again, “Wolf!

Wolf is coming!
” And the farmers come and are cheated again. The boy laughs and laughs. They say, “You tell lies. We will not believe you.”
Later a wolf really comes. The boy is very scared. “Wolf!

” the boy shouts and shouts. “Help!

” But no one comes. And wolf eats the naughty boy.
故事24 狼来了
村子里有个淘气的小男孩，他喜欢撒谎。
