1)Linguisticsisgenerallydefinedasthescientificorsystematicstudyof(human)language.

Whystudylinguistics?

3.Linguisticsisasciencethatisstillinitsinfancybutundergoingrapiddevelopment,anditis“apilotscience”.

Pragmaticscanbedefinedasthestudyoflanguageinuse.Itdealswithhowspeakersuselanguageinwayswhichcannotbepredictedfromlinguisticknowledgealone,andhowhearersarriveattheintendedmeaningofspeakers.Inabroadsense,pragmaticsstudiestheprinciplesobservedbyhumanbeingswhentheycommunicatewithoneanother.
Languageisasystemofarbitraryvocalsymbolsusedforhumancommunication.
