各个年级都担任过英语教学的我,触动最深的一章是儿童英语阅读教学。
在儿童英语阅读教学这一章讨论的是英语作为第二语言或外语教学中与儿童阅读相关的问题。
而这些信息正是我国从事儿童英语教学的老师所迫切需要的。
作者在开始部分就单刀直入地提出“什么是阅读?
”,描述了处在不同母语发展阶段的儿童英语阅读,提供阅读教学的基本背景信息:
阅读理解就是理解文章,获取信息,并享受其中的乐趣。
阅读教学的核心就是教儿童如何总结他们所读的内容。
人们阅读的主要目的主要有两个:
首先阅读是一种娱乐形式,其次为了获取信息而阅读。
这种阅读观扭正了我们长久以来阅读为了应试教学的畸形阅读观,还原了阅读的本来面目。
说得多好啊:
阅读是为了娱乐、阅读是为了获取信息,而不是为了做题目。
只有这样,阅读才不会无味、教学才不会枯燥。
作者在该书中描述了各种阅读策略和技巧,包括一些使用教材教授读写能力的具体建议。

反观当今我国的英语教学中,虽然说了很长的一段时间要创新英语课堂,特别是阅读课的教学,但阅读教学还是相当单调的,方式还是相当单一的。
不外乎是先教授新单词,然后解释一下文章的意思,再做一些练习题。
《儿童英语教学实用技巧》一书中所介绍的阅读教学方法无论对于新教师或有经验的教师来说都是相当有实用价值的,正好填补了这方面信息的空白;而且操作起来也很容易,可以说是本少利大。
在阅读的过程中,我发现这本书有一个很大的特色,就是每一章节都会有一个“教学反思”,这一“教学反思”就该章节所阐述的观点明确地提出所要反思的内容,并且是“易位思考”,即当你是孩子时,你在学习该内容时的想法和做法,这给了我很大的冲击,在实际教学过程中,要学会以学生的角度去思考问题。
《儿童英语教学实用技巧》这本书没有枯燥的理论说教、没有空泛而不切实际的教法指导、没有教法式教科书式的面面俱到。
在阅读的过程中,发现有那么多新颖的教学理念、教学策略和教学技巧,同时,也会使自己不断反思、校正当下的教学实践。
