That’swhyweneedaguidelinetolightupourpath,toleadus.Inthistechnologicallyadvancedworld,whatweneedtodoistoavoidthemisuseoftechnology,buttotakeitasanaccelerator,alubeoranavigatoronourhighwaytocreateabetterworld,aharmonioussociety.

OnarecenttriptoJapan,Iwasimpressedby,amongotherthings,agadgetinmostpublicwomensrestrooms,calledOtohimeorSoundPrincess.Thisdeviceproducesthesoundofflushingwaterwithouttheneedforactualflushing.Thetechnologysavestheuserboththeembarrassmentofbeingheardduringurinationandsome_litersofwaterperuseincaseswhereawomanmightflushthetoiletcontinuouslywhileusingit.

EverytimeIusedOtohime,Ifeltlikeaprincess,anenvironmentalistprincessonthetoilet.

Itwasalongedforfeeling.Overthepastdecade,IshuffledinandoutofmanykindsofpublicrestroomsinChina--filthysmellywaterclosetsinoutlyingareas,spaciouslu_uriouslavatoriesinfive-starhotels,forever-occupiedgirlsstallsoncampusduringschool,andsmartmodernmobiletoiletsininternationalfairs.Butnotonesingleroomevokedmyprideofbeingaprincess.
