Abstract:
ObjectiveToobservetheneuron-specificRNAbindingproteinMusashi1(Msi1indifferentdevelopmentaltimeafterbirthlateralventriclesubventricularzone(withintheSVZexpressionchange.MethodsMaleSDrats,dividedintosevendays,twoweeks,threeweeksJanuary,February,adult(6monthsofageandolder(18monthsold)group,n=5,35,paraformaldehydefixed,frozencoronalsections,immunohistochemistry(ABCstaining,lightmicroscopecamera,cellcountresultsseeninratsofvariousagegroupsperiventricularSVZtheMsi1immuneresponsepositivecells,smallroundcellbody,noprotrusionsor1to2shortprotruding,unevendistributionofdensity;increasingageMsi1positivecells,SVZgraduallyreduced,thereisstillacertainamountofMsi1-positivecellsintheagedrats.conclusionsIntracerebroventricularSVZmemoryMsi1positivecellsandagesignificantlyreduced,thesecellsmaybeneuralstemcells.

ObjectiveToobservetheexpressionofneuralRNA-bindingproteinsMusashi1(Msi1inthesubventricularzone(SVZ)oflateralventricles(LVatdifferentpostnataldevelopingtimes.MethodsHealthymaleSDratsofdifferentagegroupswererecruited(1-,2-and3-weekgroups,1-and2-monthgroups,6-monthgrowngroup,and18-monthagedgroup;n=5each.Immunohistochemistrywasperformedonthecoronalsectionsofbrainoftheratsperfusedwithparaformaldehyde.ResultsTheexpressionofMsi1wasobservedintheSVZofLVinallgroups.Msi1-positivecellsweresmallandroundinshape,showingnoor1~2shortprocessesonthesurface.TheMusashi1-positivecellswereunevenlydis-tributed.Thenumberofthemwasreducedgraduallywithage.ConclusionManyMusashi1-positivecellsarepresentintheSVZofratthewholelife,withtheirnumberreducinggraduallywithage.Theymightplayasneuralstemcells.
