（一）复习、热身。
1. Let’s Chant.
The man is the father – tall, tall, tall!
The woman is the mother – not so tall.
That’s the son – small, small, small.
They are a family, one and all!
设计意图：
因新内容涉及到高身等形容词，还有so的应用，这里用Chant 作小小铺垫。
2. Try to talk about the families.
（Teacher借用学生带来的全家福或Family tree来谈论各家庭成员的身材。
） Look at your father. He’s tall.
Look at your mother. She’s not so tall.
Look at your brother. He’s short.
Look at your sister. She’s thin.
Look at your grandpa. He’s so fat.
Look at your grandmother. She’s fat, too.

设计意图：
复习上单元家庭成员的同时谈论成员的身材为新内容引导。
（二）导入、程现。
3. 通过上网播放有关动物歌曲的视频
设计意图：
通过播放动物歌曲认学生见识多一些动物的同时可以顺便导入本单元的主题。
4. 打开单元主情景图并让学生认真观察，引导学生回答：
Where are the animal?
（They’re at the
zoo.）
带动学生根据老师指着图片的动物，补充句子：
Look at_____. It’ ____.
同时提示学生：
Don’t feed the animals.
设计意图：
通过展示主情景图初步了解本单元的基本内容，通过补充句子，引入新句型学习。
5. 上网搜索一些学生比较熟识且身材特出的动物。
如：
tall giraffe, short squirrel, fat panda, thin
monkey, small mouse, big elephant, long snake, short snake, 等。
指导学生看上网收集到动物图说英语：
老师带动说：
Look at the giraffe. It’s so tall.
Look at the squirrel. It’s short.
Look at the panda. It’s fat.
Look at the monkey. It’s thin..

6. 上网搜索个别特出的人物。
如：
tall man, short boy, fat woman, thin girl 等。
引导学生用英语说：

Look at the woman. It’s fat.
Look at the girl. It’s thin.
最后上网找一个超胖的人物作警告：
Don’t be too fat. It’s not good for health. Try to keep fit everyday.

（三）操练、程现。
7. 上网搜索一些身材特出的动物简笔画或少儿画（或者通过电脑制图工具让动物身材变得特出也可以），出示简笔画时，例如老师说：

给学生示范用英语表达自己喜欢的动物及其身材模样。
8. 要求学生动笔画出自己喜欢的动物，并在全班同学面前出示时用英语说：

（二）、过程方法目标：
1、能用“Lookat...It's...”的句型介绍动物特征。
2、进一步掌握表示高矮、胖瘦的单词tall,short,fat,thin，并结合本课的对话用这几个单词来描述某物的简单情况。
