南大街自古以来就是平遥最繁华的商业中心，也是晋商最主要的发源地和清朝中晚期全国的金融中心。

南大街是古城的中轴线，大街以市楼为中心贯通南北。

市楼南东侧脚下有水井一眼，相传“井内水色如金”，清朝时期被冠以平遥县十二景之一。

位于黄山市府所在地屯溪区中心。

专辟的一段“古代街”上设有茶楼、酒肆、书场、墨庄，古趣盎然，吸引了众多的中外游客前来观光、购物。

屯溪老街作为唯一的“国家历史保护街区”，每年吸引了近600万的国内外游客，老街的建筑群不仅延袭了宋代风格，同时也继承了徽州民居的传统建筑风格，规划布局，具有鲜明的徽派建筑特色屯溪老街建筑古朴典雅，是一条具有明清建筑风格的步行商业街。
