2. 姓名
中国人姓名的排列为“姓在前，名在后”，即lastname或familyname在前，firstname或givenname在后，如WangYing。
Wang是lastname 或familyname,Ying是firstname或givenname。
而西方人的习惯与中国人正好相反，为“名在前，姓在后”，如JackSmith,Jack是名,即firstname或givenname；Smith是姓，即lastname或familyname。
Mr,Mrs,Miss可与姓一起连用，如MrSmith，但不能与名一起使用，所以不能说MrJack。

现将英语民族的个人名、昵称和姓氏介绍如下：
I.个人名
按照英语民族的习俗，一般在婴儿接受洗礼的时候，由牧师或父母亲朋为其取名，称为教名。
以后本人可以再取第二个名字，排在教名之后。
英语民族常用的男子名有：
James,John,David,Daniel,Michael等。
常见的女子名为：
Jane,Mary,Elizabeth,Ann,Sarah,Catherine等。
II.昵称
昵称包括爱称、略称和小名，是英语民族亲朋好友间常用来表示亲切的称呼，是在教名的基础上派生出来的。
