Afterthisgooddoctorarrivedthedestination,hesentamessengerbacktotellhissonsthat,yourfatherisdead. Thesonswereverysadandworrywhentheyheardthebadnews. Theythought,iftheirfatherwerestillalive,hewouldcompassionatelyrelieveandnursethemwhenevertheyweresick. Today,theirfatherrenouncedthemanddiedinothercountry,theybecameorphansandtheydidnothavefathertodependon. Thesonsweresadlyremembertheirfatherwithlongingandgratefultohimveryoften. Becauseofthis,theirperceptionswereawakinggradually. Thentheyrealizedthatthemedicinethattheirfathergavethemwerethebestmedicinewiththebestquality. Sotheytookthemedicineimmediately,andtheirillnesseswerecured. Assoonastheirfatherheardthatallofhissonswerecured,hecamebackhometoseethem.

Similarly,Buddhaislikethisgooddoctor,hewentthroughcountlessfourasankhyakalpasintherise,duration,andendofeveryuniversetoteachinnumerablelivingbeingstoentertheBuddhapath. Fordeliveringthelivingbeings,Buddhausedanexpedientmethod,thatis,enteringtheNirvana. IftheBuddhadwelledintheworldforlong,thesentientbeingswithlessmeritwouldnotcultivatethegoodroots. Theywouldbeinpoverty,attachtothefivedesiresarisingfromtheobjectsofthefivesenses,andtrapinthenetofwonderingthoughtsandfalseviews. IfTathagatawasalwaysabidingandnotdying,thelivingbeingswouldbearroganceandpride,wearyandlazy. Theywouldnotgeneratethethoughtthat'ItishardtohaveBuddhadwellingintheworld'andthereverencemind. That'swhyBuddhausedthisexpedientmethodenteringtheNirvanafordeliveringthelivingbeings.

AssoonastheBuddhaenteringtheNirvana,thelivingbeingsmadeofferingsofBuddha'sSari,theywereallremembertheBuddhawithlongingandgratefultohim.  Becauseofthis,thelivingbeingsgeneratedthereverencemind. TheyhadcultivatedthegoodrootsaftertheybelievedinandsubmittedthemselvestotheBuddha. TheyenteredthesupremewayortruththatofBuddha,andattainedthethreefoldembodimentofBuddhaquickly.
