With the rapid development of society, we have entered an era of information explosion. In order to acquire more knowledge, more and more people decide to further their study abroad. Studying abroad widens students' knowledge, and meanwhile cultivates thestudentsindependence and personalities.  

Firstly,students can learn advanced knowledge and experience. China has strengthened cooperation with many countries. As a result, the scientific and technological has been improved  rapidly. However, compare with the developed countries, we still have a largegap. Study abroad provide opportunities to students who wantto learn advanced knowledge, so as to enhance the scientific level in our country. 

Secondly, studying abroad alsocan cultivate students' ability to live independently . Students have to deal with any problems bythem. They have to learnhow to get along with the teachers and classmates.  

Finally, studying abroad can provide a foreign language environment and make it easy to pick up a language. Foreign language is a tool employed to communicate to each other.  

However. Studying abroad also brings about some disadvantages. Firstly, students may confronted with so much psychological problems. They often feel lonely and helpless in a strangecountry.
