Firstly,overexploitationofscenicspotswillchangeecologicalsystem,whichwillconsequentlycauseenvironmentaldegeneration.Inordertoattracttourists,plentyofman-madescenerieshavebeenbuilt,duetowhichthenaturalconditionshavebeendestroyed.OneexampleisQinghaiLake,itsenvironmentaldegenerationintheformofexpansionofdesertareasandextinctionofsomerareanimals.Accordingtoaresearchreport,tourismshouldtakepartialresponsibilityforthisharmfulresult.Inoneword,recklesstappingofnaturalresourceswillbreakecologicalbalance.

Secondly,alargeproportionoftourists,mostofthetime,playtheroleofenvironmentdestructor.Theydonothavetheawarenessofenvironmentprotection.Soitisverycommontoseethemthrowgarbagewherevertheygo.Andthenitisreportedthatsomeoriginallybeautifulandclearlakebecameuglyanddirty,whichconducestovariousbacteria.Someofthetouristsevenhaveaweirdhabitofeatingwildanimals,whosepractice,tosomeextent,encouragesthekillingofwildlife.Alltheabove-listedbehaviorsandmanyothersgravelydamagedourenvironment.
