WhenitcametogenesthatwouldinfluenceLaBranaI'sappearance,theresearchersfoundthattheir7,OOO-year-oldsubjecthadversionsoftwoskinpigment(色素)genesthatareeitherveryrareornonexistentamongEuropeanstoday.Thentheylookedatotherplacesinthegenomethatinfluencepigmentation(色素沉着)andfoundamixofancientandmoderngenevariants(变种).Takentogether,LaBranaI'sDNA“islikelytohaveresultedindarkskinpigmentationanddarkorbrownhair,"theywrote.
