英语比较级的题目及概念

形容词和副词的比较级和最高级

（一）比较级的一般句式的构成：

A+谓语（系动词）+形容词比较级+than+B。

　　　如：

Sheistallerthanme.她比我高。

（二）构成：

英语形容词/副词比较等级有三个：

原级，比较级和最高级。

　　形容词、副词的比较级和最高级形式变化有规则的和不规则的两种。

　　规则变化：

　　1）单音节词末尾加-er（比较级），-est（最高级）

　　【例】原级比较级最高级

　　greatgreatergreatestsmallsmallersmallest

2）单音节如以e结尾，只加-r（比较级），-st（最高级）

　　【例】finefinerfinestwidewiderwidest

　　3）闭音节单音节词如末尾只有一个辅音字母，须先双写这个辅音字母，再加-er（比较级），-est（最高级）

　　【例】bigbiggerbiggesthothotterhottestredredderreddest

4）以辅音字母+y结尾的双音节词，则变y为-i，再加-er和-est。

【例】earlyearlierearliesteasyeasiereasiest

　　5）其它双音节和多音节词皆在前面加单词more（比较级）和most（最高级）。

　　【例】carefulmorecarefulmostcareful

　　difficultmoredifficultmostdifficult

　　deliciousmoredeliciousmostdelicious

　　不规则变化：

　　原级比较级最高级

　　good/wellbetterbest　bad/badlyworseworst

　　many/muchmoremostlittlelessleast

　　farfarther/furtherfarthest/furthest

　　注：

有些形容词一般没有比较等级。

如：

right,wrong,woolen等。

　　形容词的比较等级的用法：

比较级用于二者的比较。

　　【例】LiPingisolderthanWangHai.李平比王海年纪大。

　　TherearemorestudentsinClassOnethaninClassTwo.一班比二班学生多。

　　二、形容词各等级的用法：

　　1、原级（同级）比较：

as+形容词/副词原级+as…，“如同..一样”，notas（so）+形容词/副词原级+as…，“不如…一样…”

　　We’llgiveyouasmuchhelpaswecan.我们会尽可能地给你帮助。

Sheisn’tas（so）goodatsportsasbefore.她不像以前那样擅长体育。

注意：

as…as…结构中如果出现表示倍数的词，应放在as…as…结构之前

Ourschoolisfourtimesaslargeasyours.我们的学校比你们的学校要大四倍。

2.比较级：

表示两者之间比……更……可用状语much,alittle,even等修饰：

HeisalittletallerthanSam.他比山姆高一点。

　　HeisevenricherthanI.他甚至比我更富有。

　　3、形容词最高级前必须加the,副词最高级前常省略the，后面多用of……，in……短语表示范围：

　　ItwasthemostinterestingstoryIhaveeverlistened.这是我听过的最有趣的故事。

　　Heisthetallestofthethree.他是三个人当中最高的。

4、如果在两者之间表示“最……”时要在比较级前加the，而且还用ofthetwo,ofthepair短语：

　　Johnistheclevererofthetwoboys.在两个男孩中间，约翰是最聪明的。

5、the+比较级…..the+比较级….表示“越……越……”

　　Themorebooksyouread,thewideryourknowledgeis.你读的书越多，你的知识就越广。

　　Themorefoodyoueat,thefatteryouare.你吃的越多，你就会越胖。

6、“越来越…”,用“比较级+and+比较级”表示，部分双音节和多音节词表示“越来越…”,用moreandmore+形容词原级。

Ourcountryisgettingstrongerandstronger.我们的国家正在变得越来越强大。

Ourcitybecomesmoreandmorebeautiful.我们的城市变得越来越漂亮。
