Thestudyalsoconfirmedthattextingisreplacingtalkingamongteens.Teensadmittedspendingnearlyanequalamountoftimetalkingastheydotextingeachmonth.Thefeatureissoimportanttothemthatiftextingwerenolongeranoption47%ofteenssaytheirsociallifewouldendorbeworsened—that’sespeciallysoamongfemales(54%vs.40%).
