Tofindoutwhetherthereisaconnectionbetweenjobadvancementandphysicalhealth,BoyceandhisteamuseddatafromtheBritishHouseholdPanelSurvey.Thedatacontainedinformationonnearly1,000recentlypromotedindividualsintheUnitedKingdom.Andthedatacontainedinformationonmanyaspectsoflife,includingworkandselfreportedhealth.Afteranalyzingalltheavailableinformation,theydiscoveredthattherewasnoevidenceofimprovedphysicalhealthafterajobpromotion.
