Step 1.  Lead-in 

1.Ask the students who  to the great wall and what  Activity 1.

3.Listen and match these words in Activity 2.

Step2. Presentation

1.Students find out the meaning of the language points and then make sentences

1)wait for等候2)on a schooltrip参加学校的郊游 3) the sun 8)a lot=very much

2.I’m standing on the Great Wall of China and (I’m) talking to you.

And 连接两个并列成分,由于I’m相同,可以省略。

3.  send sb. sth. = send sth to sbe.g. send me a postcard = send a postcard to me

4.  anyway 表示结束一个话题又接另一个话题。

5.  We’re going  the Great wall. 

We are  the sun.

4) Tony is eating an ice cream.

Step4.Expansion

在英语中有些动词如go、come、leave等用现在进行时表示将来。

(1).Students listen to the tape and finish Activity 4.

(2).Listen again and check the answers :

Step 3. Pronunciationpractice

1.Students read the dialogue together with the tape recorder.

2.Students read the pronunciation and words in Activity 7 & 8 

3.One student read the words to let the partner check if the words 

are pronounced in a correct way.

4.  Students listen and check the words they 

1.another, the other, others, the others

2.1)another 同类人或事物中的“另一个”;the other 两个人或事物中的“另一个”

3.e.g.This pair of shoes is too small.Please show me another pair.

4.   I  are red, others are white (另一些是白色的).

5.   A few of them are red, the others are white(剩下的是白色的).
