善待动物组织PETA购买了法国奢侈品公司酩悦轩尼诗-路易威登集团（LVMHMoetHennessyLouisVuitton,简称LVMH）的股份。

该组织购买股份是为了敦促LVMH停止出售使用鳄鱼等动物皮毛制作的箱包和其他产品。

PETA没有披露其持股状况，不过有谣传称他们只购买了一股。

即使在LVMH仅持有少量股份也意味着PETA有资格参加股东会议。

PETA还可以行使权利，在其他股东面前质问LVMH董事会成员，确保保护动物的宗旨得到倾听和执行。

PETA购买股份的主要原因是让LVMH担负起保护鳄鱼的责任。

近期，他表示美国国内能源需求增长缓慢但产量却激增。

这种失衡现象意味着美国将实现能源盈余。

工业专家称，科技的广泛使用使石油和天然气的开采更加高效进而导致产量激增。

塞明斯基表示，产量增加意味着美国的能源供应远高于能源消耗。

2014年，随着石油供应增加而需求不断减弱，全球石油价格开始急剧下跌。

通常石油价格下跌，主要石油生产国就会削减石油产量。

但在很长一段时间内，石油输出国组织（OPEC）并没有采取这一做法。

专家表示，OPEC希望利用低价格迫使生产成本高的竞争者退出市场。

包括美国一些利用著名的水力压裂（fracking）等技术钻探、开采高难度的石油和天然气储量的公司。

阿莫斯·霍克斯坦（AmosHochstein）是美国国务院的能源专家。

他表示，美国能源生产公司通过提升开采效率粉碎OPEC的意图。
