whichispositionedwithintheparkoftheyuanmingyuansummerpalace,outsideofthecity'surbancenter.housedwithina

traditionalchinesebuildingandimmediatelyencompassedwiththeirownprivategroundswhichincludesavegetablegardenandopenarea

usedtostorematerialsandbuildfullscalemockupsofstructuresfeaturingexperimentalconstructionmethods.thefirmproducesresidences,

housing,culturalfacilitiesandpublicvenuesaswellasurbanplanningandlandscapedesignprojects.theirworkalsospansintothe

smallerscalesofproduct,fashionandexhibitiondesign.

facadetexturesmaybecreatedbyshiftingconventionalmasonryunitstoproduceapatternofshadowsalongtheexteriorsurface.the'glasschapel'innanjing,

chinasubstitutesglassblocksintheplaceofconcreteblocks,formingtheproject'smainstructuralcomponentsofvaultedribs.asectionexpectedto

experiencethemoststresswasextractedandbuilttotesttheeffectoftheforcesuponthemortarjoints.hollowtubecomprisedoffiberreinforcedplastic

werechosenastheverticalsupportelementsforthetwo-storey'FRPhouse',alsoinnanjing,chinaduetothetranslucencycreatedbytheintegrated

fiberglassstrandswhichbindthecomposition.
