Mr.Burnhamsaid:

 “Ayoungpersonattendingthetheatrecanfinditanexcitingexperience,andbeinspiredtoexploreanewworld.Butsometimespeoplemissoutonitbecausetheyfearit’s‘notforthem’.It’stimetochangethisperception.”

JeremyHunt,theShadowCultureSecretary,said:

 “Therealissueisnotgettingenthusiasticchildrenintothetheatre,butimprovingartseducationsothatmoreyoungpeoplewanttogointhefirstplace.Fortoomanychildrentheatresareano-goarea.”
