ustocoverallourmeatanddairyneeds.

self-sufficient,theUKwouldneedtodrasticallyreduceitsconsumptionofanimalfoods,and

probablyalsofarmmoreintensively一meaningfewergreenfields,andmorefactory-style

production.

Butswitchingtoamainlyplant-baseddietwouldn'

thelp.ThereisagoodreasonwhytheUK

isdominatedbyanimalhusbandry:
