摘 要:
随着改革开放的不断深入和国际交往的日益增多,学习英语已受到全社会的普遍关注。
政府采取一些措施促进民众学习英语。
由于我国和国际交往越来越密切,因此对于英语教学改革的要求也越来越迫切。
如何全面提高学生的英语素质,突破长期以来所形成的“哑巴英语”局面,是摆在广大中小学英语教师面前的一个重要课题。
所以,现在已经到了对中学英语教学进行根本改革的时候。
简单地说,就是根据语言学习的规律,既强调对学生听和说的训练,又重视对学生语言综合能力的全面培养,把现在中学英语的教材体系更加丰富、完善。

I.Introduction
EnglishteachingreforminmiddleschoolisaproblemtoEnglishteachersandresearcherswhoareresearchingEnglishteachinginmiddleschool.Nowadays,theinitiativeofstudentslearningEnglishisunprecedentedhigh:
studentslikelearningEnglishasapleasure.SoastheEnglishteachingworkers,wemustdosomeresearchesonEnglishteachingreformtomakepeopleknowtheimportanceandthetrendofEnglishteachingreform.
1.1TheImportanceofEnglishTeachingReformintheMiddleSchool
1.1.1EnglishTeachingReformistheNeedofSocialDevelopment
Inordertopromotethelevelofmoderation,andcomprehensivenationalpowerofourcountry,andnarrowdownthedistancebetweendevelopedcountry,Chinagovernmenthasputforwardthestrategyofprosperingcountrybyscientificandeducationaldevelopment.Ononehand,wemustdependonthegreateffortsofpeopleofwholecountry;
ontheotherhandweshouldpersistinthereformandopenpolicy,andthecommunicationwithothercountries.Besides,weshouldlearntheadvancedexperiencesoftheothercountries.Duringtheprocessofcommunicationandlearn,wemustusethelanguage.However,thepeopleofthemostdevelopedcountryarespeakingEnglishnow,soEnglishbecomesthemostextensivelyusedlanguagenow.EspeciallyaftertheChineseeconomylinkswithnationaleconomy,andherownmodernization,thereisalargechangeondemandofthetalentedpersons.Infuturewewillneednotonlythesinglespecialpeopleofability,butalsothestereoscopicpeopleofability,whohavethecomprehensivesabilities.ThechangeofthiskindofneedwillforceustoreformtheEnglishteachinginChina.

‘Putintoeffectqualityeducation,justasoverallimplementParty’seducationalpolicy,toimprovenationaleducationqualityasbasicaim.’AccordingtothedemandofqualityeducationEnglishteachingreformmustbecarriedoutnow.
1.1.3EnglishTeachingReformistheDemandofSyllabusinMiddleSchool
Ifwewanttoreachtheteachingaim,theEnglishteachingreformmustbecarriedonthoroughly.

Thougheveryteacherhasthedifferentteachingmethods,theyshouldabidebythebasicregulationofEnglishteaching.Sotheaimoftheteachingmethodreformistochangetheout-of-datemethods,andthosewhicharenotsuitedtonewrequirementoftextbooks.

WemustProjectonfostercommunicativeability.Becauseofthebigamountoftheknowledgeinbooks,thelimitclasses,schoolcannotusetheteachingmethodsthatusedbefore,inthepast,Englishteacherswerearmedonlyatextbookapieceofchalkandablackboard.Ifweusingtheteachingmethodsthatusedbeforecannotcompletethetask,letalonetoattaintheteachingaims,soeverymusttrytoimprovetheinteachingmethods.TheaimofEnglishteachingreformjusttouseallthemethodsofthatpossibletosupplystudentsmodernizeseeingandhearingequipmentandteachingsupplementaryinstrumentlargerthecapacityofclass,improveeffectofclassroomteaching.

PresentlevelofmiddleschoolEnglishpersonsqualifiedtoteacharenotbalancedalloverourcountry.Inthemorepoorplaces,thepersonsqualifiedtoteacharelacking.

2.1.ThePresentSituationofEnglishTeachinginMiddleSchoolinOurCountry
Thepast20yearsisthetimethatmiddleschoolEnglishteachinginourcountrydevelopswithsteadysteps,andhasmadetheverybigprogressinfollowingvariousaspects:
a.ThegovernmenthasformulatedaseriesofforeignlanguageeducationpoliciesinEnglishteaching.SuchastheproportionofEnglishlearninginthegeneraleducationandthehighereducation,andlearningtheadvancedexperiencefromtheothercountries,andsoon;
b.WehaveformulatedthenationalunificationprogramofinstructioninEnglishteachingarrangingtheteachingmaterialinthenationasthefoundation,recentyearspromotingthecooperationbetweenChinaandBritain,andpublishedthemassiveteachingreferencebook,thesupplementaryreadingmaterialsandtheaudio-visualmaterialsandsoon;
c.Eachkindofpedagogicalcollegesanduniversitiesforeignlanguagespecializedhastrainedlargequantitiesofqualityhighteachersforthemiddleschool,theyrespecthillocklovingindustrymostly,tomakethecontributionforraisedourcountrymiddleschoolforeignlanguageteachinglevel;
d.ThereexistsagoodatmospheretostudyEnglishinthewholesocialinChina;
