7)existswhichissaidtohavecoveredChrist’sheadinthetomb.A1999studybyMarkGuscin,amemberofthemultidisciplinaryinvestigationteamoftheSpanishCenterforSindonology,investigatedtherelationshipbetweenthetwocloths.Basedonhistory,forensicpathology,bloodchemistry(theSudariumalsoisreportedtohavetypeABbloodstains),andstainpatterns,heconcludedthatthetwoclothscoveredthesameheadattwodistinct,butclosemomentsoftime.AvinoamDanin(aresearcherattheHebrewUniversityofJerusalem)concurredwiththisanalysis,addingthatthepollengrainsintheSudariummatchthoseoftheshroud.
