浅析中国民俗文化的发展

摘要

随着社会的发展，民俗文化已经渗透到我们生活的每一个角落。

作为一种古代文化，它的作用是不能低估的，因为这些风俗不仅仅是在影响着人们的生活而且也影响着社会经济的发展。

最近几年来，越来越多的民俗文化出现在人们的生活中的各个方面，自然而然，这就使民俗文化变得更加重要了，因此，本文通过分析民俗传统的几个方面来帮助读者更好地了解、欣赏中国的民俗文化。

1Introduction

Asanancientculture,folkcustomshashadagreatinfluenceonChinafromancienttimestothepresent,Folkculturehasbeenbecomingamustofsociety.Folkcustoms,thatistosay,thetraditionsofancientPeopleandtheycanbedividedintoseveralcategories,wewillstudyseveralgroupsoffolkcustomsinordertomakereadersfeelthegreatofChineseculture.

2.1ChineseCustoms

2.1.1Lanternriddles

LanternriddlesaredisplayedduringtraditionalChinesefestivals,suchastheChineseLanternFestival,Chinesemiddleautumnfestival,etc.Thefullnameof‘LanternRiddles‘are‘riddleswrittenonlanterns‘.

InancientChina,peoplebelievedthatitwasasdifficulttokillatigerasitwastoguessalanternpuzzle,so,ithadanothername–tigerlantern.Usually,therewerefourriddleswrittenonredverticalstripsofpaperpastedtoeachlanternwhichwasattachedbyastring.

Theguessingtraditioncandatebacktomorethan2,000yearsago.IntheTangDynasty（618–907AD）,guessingriddlesgraduallybecameacontestamongmen.ItreacheditspeakintheSongDynasty（960-1279）whenitisbecamepopularamongallthepeople.

Themainsubjectsoftheriddlesincludedtraditionalsongs,poems,storiesorhistoricalevents,etc.

ChineseNewYear,alsoknownastheSpringFestivalorChineseLunarNewYear,isthemostimportanttraditionalfestivalinChina.ItshistorycandatebacktotheShangDynasty（1600BC–1100BC）.

Thefestivalconsistsofaperiodofcelebrations,startingonthefirstdayofthefirstlunarmonthandendingwiththeLanternFestival,thefifteenthdayofthemonth.InChineseculture,itisthemostimportantfestivalforallthefamilymemberstogettogether.

TheDongzhiFestival,alsocalledWinterSolsticeFestival,isoneofthemostimportanttraditionalfestivalsinChina.ItisasolarterminChineselunarcalendarandinthesolarcalendar,italwaysfallsonDecember22or23eachyear.

Asearlyasmorethan2500yearsago,wintersolsticewasmensuratedbyChineseviaobservingmovementsofthesunwithsundials.DuringtheHanDynasty（206BC-220AD）,itbecameafestivalofgreatimportancefortheChinesepeople.Onthatday,allthefamilymemberswouldgettogetherandhavemealtogether.AncientChinesealsoregardedthisdayasadaytoofferscarifiestoheavenandtheirancestors.

InthesouthernpartsofChina,allthefamilymemberswouldmakeandeatTangyuan,akindofstuffeddumplingballwhichismadeofglutinousriceflour,symbolizingreunionintheChineseculture.InsomepartsofthenorthernChina,peoplewouldeatdumplings,believingthatdoingsowouldkeepthemfromfrostintheupcomingwinter.

2.1.4Tomb-SweepingDay

QingmingFestival,alsocalledTomb-SweepingDay,isatraditionalChinesefestivalcelebratedonthe106thdayafterthewintersolstice,usuallyoccurringaroundApril5oftheGregoriancalendar.

Qingming,whichmeansclearandbright,isthedayforthelivingtomournthedead.InancientChina,itwasoneoftheoccasionswhensacrificesweremadetoancestors.

OnQingming,peoplevisittheirancestors’graves.Theytidyup,removeweedsandsweepawayleaves.Itisthereasonforitsanothername,namelyTomb-SweepingDay.AlsoonQingming,peoplegoonfamilyoutings,singing,dancingandflyingkites.
