Theideaforawater-poweredvehiclecamefromMasonPeck,whoworksatCornellUniversity.HeonceworkedasNASA’schieftechnologist.Hehasalwayswantedtousesomethingotherthanrocketstopushspacecraftbeyondearth.“Alotofthemasswesendintoorbitthesedaysisintheformofrockets--theonlywaywegetanythingintospace,”hesaid,inaCornellpressrelease.“Butwhatifwecouldusewhat’salreadythere?
