monosaccharides,disaccharides,andpolysaccharides.it’snotsoimportantthatyouknowwhichsugarsfallundereachofthesecategories,butitisimportanttoknowthattherearedifferentcategoriesofsugars.underthemonosaccharides,glucose,fructoseandgalactosearethesugars.disaccharides,whereyouhaveseveralsugarspairedtogether,aremaltose,sucrose,andlactose.thenthepolysaccharidesarethecomplexcarbohydrates,andthat’sstarch,glycogen,andcellulose.ifyoulookatsourcesofthesedifferentcarbohydrates,theglucosecomesfromfruit.that’snottheonlyplacebutthat’saprimarysourceofit.youseethelactoseofcoursefrommilk,andthenyougetdowntothecelluloseandstarches,cerealsandvegetablesbecometheprimarysourceofthese.areweeatingtoomuchortoolittleofthesedifferentclassesofsugars?
