芒果街上的小屋
我们并不是一直住在芒果街。
在那之前，我们在卢米斯的一栋楼的三楼住过，再往前，我们住在基勒街。
在基勒街之前我们住在宝琳娜街，宝琳娜街之前住哪儿，我就记不清了。
但我记忆最深的是（我们）搬了很多次家。
每次搬家，我们似乎都会多一口人。
我们搬到芒果街时，家里有六口人——妈妈、爸爸、卡洛斯、基基、姐姐内妮和我。
芒果街的那所房子是我们的，我们不用向任何人交房租，不用和楼下的住户共用院子，不用小心翼翼的不敢弄出太多的响声，并且不用担心房东生气。
但是即使如此，它也不是我们认为我们会有的房子。
我们不得不赶快离开卢米斯的公寓。
木制的墙里有虫子。
然后水管坏了，房东也不愿意修，因为那所房子太旧了。
他没有一点儿仁慈，所以我们得快点儿离开。
我们那时还在用隔壁的盥洗室，并且得提水过来。
并且公寓里的所有东西都是潮湿的。
那就是为什么爸爸和妈妈要找房子，那也是为什么我们搬到远在小镇另一边的芒果街上的房子里。
他们（父母）总是告诉我们，有一天我们会搬进一所房子里，一所真正属于我们自己的房子里。
那样，我们就不必每年都搬家了。
并且我们的房子会有自来水和一个浴缸，水管运行良好。
并且房子里会有真正的楼梯，像电视中的房子那样。
我们还会有个地下室，至少有三个盥洗室，这样当我们想洗澡时就不用通知任何人。
我们的房子应该是绿树环绕的白色房子，有一个很大很大的院子，还有没有栅栏的草坪。
