1.Fairytales
Afairytaleisasub-classoffolktales.Itwaspartofanoraltradition:
taleswerenarratedorally,ratherthanwrittendown,andhandeddownfromgenerationtogeneration.Inthemodernversions,fairytalesareoftenaboutprinces,princesses,animals,adventure,society,andromance,andfairieshaveasecondaryrole.Itisalsoquitecommonforafairytaletoteachamorallessonandhaveahappyending.Althoughinthelatenineteenthandtwentiethcenturiesthefairytalecametobeassociatedwithchildren’sliterature,adultswereoriginallyaslikelyaschildrentobeitsaudience.
2.LewisCarroll
LewisCarrollisthepennameofCharlesLutwidgeDodgson(1832-1898),aBritishauthor,mathematician,logician,andphotographer.Thefirstbornof11children,Carrollbeganatanearlyagetowritepoemsforhomemadenewspaper.In1854,hegraduatedfromChristChurchCollege,Oxford.Carrollremainedthere,lecturingonmathematics.
