INTRODUCTION
Thesocializationofmoraleducationisindividuals’socializationinthedimensionofmoraleducationanditisthetransformationofnaturalpersonstomorallyeducators.Thesocializationofyoungcollegestudents’moraleducationisintendedtodisseminatetheknowledgeandnormsofmoraleducation,cultivatetheparticipatingcapacityofyoungstudentsinmoraleducation,shapemoraleducationvalues,andthustogetpreparedforbecomingeligiblecitizensofmoraleducation.Currently,theInternetandmobilephones,astherepresentativesofnewmedia,arebecomingincreasinglypopularandintegratedintopeople’sproduction,livingandlearning,andtheyarehavingaprofoundimpactontheintrinsicmoraleducationoftheyoungstudentstoshapethepersonalityandvalues.Theauthorbelievesthat,althoughthedeepintegrationoftechnologyandeducation,andtechnologyandmoraleducationbringsopportunitiesforthesocializationthemoraleducationofyoungstudentsandtosomeextentcontributestothemoraleducationofpeople,yetitalsocoercestheriskoffailureinthesocializationofmoraleducation.Ithasthepotentialtosuppressthesocializationprocessofthemoraleducationofyoungstudents.Thispaperarguesthatthereisneedforacomprehensivereviewandweshoulddialecticallytreatnewmedia’ssocializationfunctioninmoraleducation,drawontheadvantageswhileavoidingdisadvantages,andcreateinnovativesocializationpathforyoungcollegestudents’moraleducation. I.THEFEATURESOFNEWMEDIA
NewMediahasdevelopedfollowingthepress,radio,televisionandothertraditionalmediabasedonnetworktechnology,mobiletechnologyanddigitaltechnologythroughtheInternet,satelliteandwirelesstransmissiontoprovideinformationresourcesforpeople’sproductionandlife.Ofcourse,newmediaisarelativeconcept,“theboundaryofnewmediatechnologyitselfisconstantlychangingandisinflowingcondition.Allofthetechnologyforitstimeis‘new’”(Pavlik,XXXX).Differentfromthetraditionalwordofmouth,wordspread,thespreadofprintandtelevisiontransmission,etc.,becauseofitstechnologiessuchasdistributednetworkarchitecture,contemporarynewmediashowalotofnewfeatures.
1.1MobileandUbiquitous
Newmediatechnologyhasthetypicalmobileandubiquitoustransmissioncharacteristics.Mobilitymeansthattheinformationcanbereceivedbeyondtimeandspace,withcarryingfunction.Comparedtodesktopcomputers,mobileplatformssuchassmartphonesaremorepopularwithusers.
AsofJuly2010,theglobalnumberofmobileusershasexceeded5billionandmobilebroadbandusersaregrowingrapidly.Itisexpectedthatin2015itwouldexceedmorethan3.4billion.Thestudyshowsthat80percentofInternetuserswillusemobiledevicestousetheInternet.(Xu,2011)
1.2AnonymousandInteractive
Distributednetworkofnewmediahasreformedtheshortcomingsoftraditionallinearandone-wayflowofinformation.Inadistributednetwork,usersareequalintermsofpoweroropportunity,andthereforenewmediahavestronganonymityinteractivity.
VirtualReality.Newmediainformationtransmissionisnotonlyfictitiousbutalsorealistic.Inanotherword,thenewmediahavethefeatureofvirtualreality.Virtualrealityreliesoncomputergraphics,sensortechnologyandhuman-computerinteraction,allowinguserstohaveimmersivesenseofthescene.
2.NEWMEDIAANDTHESOCIALIZATIONOFMORALEDUCATIONOFYOUNGCOLLEGESTUDENTS
Thesocietyitselfisachanginganddevelopingorganism,“themassmediacanbeclassifiedasanintegralpartofthesocialstructure;
withoutthispart,themodernsocietyweknowwillbeunabletocontinue.”Correspondingly,theinterventionofthemediasystemisalsoanimportantguaranteefortheoperationandthemaintenanceoftheorderofmoraleducation.Currently,theInternetandmobilephones,astherepresentativesofthenewmedia,havenotonlypenetratedintothewholeprocessofmoraleducationpracticeandaffectedthesubjects’decision-makingandbehaviorofmoraleducation,butalsoatthemicrolevelprofoundlyshapedthecultivationofmoraleducationcitizens. 2.1NewMedia’sSocializationFunctionintheMoralEducationofYoungCollegeStudents
Theimportantconnotationofthesocializationofmoraleducationoftheyoungcollegestudentisthetransitionfromnaturalpersonstomoraleducatorsorthepreparationforthetransitiontoshapethepersonalityofmoraleducation.Incollegefield,thesocializationfunctionofnewmediainmoraleducationmainlymanifestsinfourdimensions:
promotingmoraleducationemotionsofyoungstudents,shapingmoraleducationvalues,wakeningtheawarenessofmoraleducation,andpromotingtheparticipationinmoraleducation.
2.1.1ToEnhancetheMoralEducationEmotionsofYoungStudents
Underthecontextofnewmedia,fosteringmoraleducationemotionshastwoadvantages:
first,sincemobilephonesandtheInternet,astherepresentativesofthenewmedia,havethefeatureofbeyondthetimeandspace,increasinglyshowthemobileandubiquitousfeature,andaremorediverseintheinformationdisseminationchannelsandaremoreenrichedinthecontent.Withnewmedia,youngcollegestudentscanfullycontactmoraleducationinformation,whichisthematerialbasisforthegenerationofmoraleducationemotion;
second,theanonymityandinteractivityofnewmediacanmakeyoungstudentstoreleasethemoraleducationemotionsandpromoteexchangesamongthesubjectsofmoraleducation.
2.1.2ToWakentheMoralEducationAwarenessofYoungStudents
Toobtainpropersenseofmoraleducationmustgothroughmoraleducationpractice.Moraleducationpracticecannotonlycureasenseofmoraleducation,butalsogenerateacorrectivefunctiontotheawarenessofmoraleducation.Asa“realaction”,a“citizenconsciousaction”whichdoesnotincludeanon-unconsciousactionoranactioninwhichpeopleare“forced”toparticipate,thepracticeofmoraleducationreflectthelevelofconsciousnessofthemoraleducationofyoungstudentsinlargepart(Dai&
Ma,2013).Underthenewmediaenvironment,e-government,politicalWeiboandothershavebecomeimportantplatformsofmoraleducationinformationdisseminationandinteraction.Basedonvirtualspaceandindividualfreedomandothertechnicalcharacteristics,theexpansionofthepracticeofmoraleducationofyouthisnotonlypossible,butalsoeffective.Accordingtothesurvey,“intheuseofWeiboastheInternetmoraleducationparticipatingpathwayforcollegestudentsinthecountryandinShanghai,theproportionofInternetusersinthecountryis48.7%,andShanghaicollegestudentInternetusersaccountedfor51.7%of(2013).”(Han,2011,January11) “InChina,sincethepopularityoftheInternetcontinuestoincrease,theInternethasbecomethemainframeworkandanimportantresourceforshapingthemoraleducationawarenessofyoungstudents,andithasbecomethemainapproachandmediumfortheexpressionofmoraleducationawareness.(Zheng,Wang,&
Lu,2012)
2.1.3ToShapetheMoralEducationValuesofYoungStudents
Moraleducationvaluesareasocialconsciousnessanddeterminedbythesocialexistence.Theyreflectthesubjectiveevaluationandunderstandingofthemoraleducationbasedontheirlikesanddislikesorthedegreeofsatisfactionoftheobjects’needs,andtheyarethe“basicyardstickformoraleducatorstojudgethingsinmoraleducation”(Shi,2001).Withthechangesanddevelopmentofthesocialandhistoricalenvironment,people’smoraleducationvalueswillchangeaswell.Moraleducationvaluesaredynamic.Thecoreofmodernmoraleducationvaluesincludeselementssuchasdemocracy,freedom,equalityandhumanrightsandsoon.Onthecurrentterms,inshapingmoraleducationvaluesofyoungstudentsintheuniversityfield,wecannotavoiduniversalandubiquitousnewmedia.Asatechnology,newmediaplayanimportantroleinshapingmoraleducationvaluesofyoungstudents.Theypromotethedevelopmentofdemocracyandfreedom.Theem
