1Introduction
1.1Purpose
ThisdocumentdescribesthetestproceduresfortheroamingbrokerapplicationcontainedintheVIVOSIM-CardssoastoverifythecorrectexchangeofinformationbetweentheaccessdeviceandtheSIM-Card,thusguaranteeingthatinternationalroamingoccursinatransparentmannerfortheclient.TheaccessdevicesshouldfullymeettherequirementssoasbesoldintheareaswhereaVIVOhasGSM/GPRS/EDGEandUMTScommercialoperations.

1.2Scope
DuetotheVIVOsneedtoofferaninternationalroamingservicetotheirclientswiththelaunchoftheworldphone,CDMAandGSMterminals,andprincipallywiththelaunchoftheirGSMnetwork,theydecidedtomakeuseoftheexistingpartnershipwiththeirshareholdersoperators,PortugalTelecom–TMNandTelefónicaMovilesSpain-TME,whichalreadyhaveroamingagreementswithseveralotherGSMoperatorsthroughouttheworld,andchoosetheuseoftheRoamingBrokerapplicationdevelopedbyTelefônica,untiltheroamingagreementsaresigneddirectlybetweenVIVOandtheoperatorsoftheirinterest.
TheaforesaidapplicationistobefoundinstalledintheSIMCardandmakesuseoftwoIMSI,onefromVIVOandanotherfromapartneroperator,TMNorTME,whereinsituationsinwhichtheVIVOIMSIisrejectedbythevisitednetwork,theapplicationentersintooperationandsendsittotheIMSIterminalofthepartneroperatorsothatthiscanthentryanewregistrationinthevisitednetworknowwiththisIMSI,becomingaasaclientofthepartneroperator.ApplicationsrunningonthepartneroperatornetworkandalsointheVIVOnetworkguaranteethattheclientreceivescallsoriginatedtohisnumberwhenintheroamingconditioninanothercountry.
