字母组合ck在所有单词中读/k/,不论是在词首还是词尾。

（1）
th位于词首时，可以从词性上判别其应有的读音。

４、字母Yy的发音规律
字母y是一个非常特殊的字母。
它既可以用作辅音字母，也可用作元音字母，因此有的语言学家把它称为“半元音”。
字母Yy的发音有三种情况。
（1）在元音字母之前，通常发辅音/j/。

（2）在大多数双音节和多音节单词里，如位于辅音字母之后，且为非重读音节里，通常发短元音/i/。

字母组合ai通常读长音/ei/。
有一个例外said读作/sed/。

字母组合ex的读音规则
（1）以字母组合ex开头的词，若ex后接一个元音字母且重音不落在第一个音节上，则ex的发音为/igz/。
exact，exam，example，exist。
（2）以字母组合ex开头的词，若ex后接一个辅音字母，且重音不落在第一个音节上，则ex读/iks/。
例：
excuse，expect，exchange，except，experience，experiment，explain，expose，express，expression，expensive，extend，extraordinary。
（3）以字母组合ex开头的词，无论ex后跟着什么字母，只要重音（包括次重音）落在第一个音节上，则ex的发音即为/eks/。
