Driverswhospeed,anddriverswhodon’tpayattention.Five-yearworthofNewYorkcrashdatashowsthat“dangerousdriverchoicesarethecontributingfactorin70%ofpedestriandeaths,”thecityreportedthisweek.Andin53percentofpedestriandeaths,thepedestrianswerefollowingalltherules—crossingonacrosswalkwiththelight,forexample,orsometimesjuststandingonthesidewalk.Butadriverwhowasinattentiveorspeedingorwhofailedtoyield(给……让路)hitandkilledthemanyway.
