Researchpapersusuallyhavefivechapterswithwell-establishedsectionsineachchapter.Readersofthepaperwillbelookingforthesechaptersandsectionssoyoushouldnotdeviatefromthestandardformatunlessyouarespecificallyrequestedtodosobytheresearchsponsor.
Mostresearchstudiesbeginwithawrittenproposal.Again,nearlyallproposalsfollowthesameformat.Infact,theproposalisidenticaltothefirstthreechaptersofthefinalpaperexceptthatit'

Asuggestion:
Neverpresentadraft(rough)copyofyourproposal,thesis,dissertation,orresearchpaper...evenifasked.Apaperthatlookslikeadraft,willinterpretedassuch,andyoucanexpectextensiveandliberalmodifications.TakethetimetoputyourpaperinperfectAPAformatbeforeshowingittoanyoneelse.Thepayoffwillbegreatsinceitwillthenbeperceivedasafinalpaper,andtherewillbefarfewerchanges.
