Thetopicofthisunitis“water”,includingthepropertiesofwater,estuaries,theoceanandtheimportanceofusingandprotectingourwater.Inthewarmingup,therearefourexperimentsrelatedtowaterfortheSstotelltheresultsandexplainthereasons.Thelisteningpartisaboutthestoryofanadventurousseajourney—“Therimeoftheoldmariner”,writtenbytheEnglishpoetColeridge.Inthespeakingpart,Sswillseesomepicturesshowingsomeexamplesofhowweusewaterindifferentways.Sswilltalkwiththeirpartnersabouttheimportanceofusingandprotectingourwater.Thereadingpassageis“thepropertiesofwater”,introducingthechemicalstructure,salinity,density,heatcapacityandoceanmotion.ThelanguagestudyisdesignedtogettheSstodosomevocabulayexercisesandreviewthemodalverbs.IntheIntegratingSkills,theSsisgivenapassageaboutnature’snursery:
