Strengths:

Weaknesses:
inyear2008-2009,theglobalfinancialcrisisbringagreatimpacttoToyota’ssalesincome,withtheweakandslow-movingeconomicaroundtheworld,hardlyenableforToyotatoabstainahigherprofit-marginastocomparedtorecentyears,theclosingofsomeofitsplantsinChinaprovesthatToyota’sfinancialorliquiditystateunabletosupportitsexplanationofproductioninothercountrieslikeChina.Therefore,itwouldbeaweaknessforToyotaduringtheglobaleconomiccrisiswherebylossesofclosingitsplantandthecostofconstructionshallbebaredbyToyotawhichnaturallycausedthecorporation’sliquiditytofall.(S.K.Breja,D.K.Banwet,2011)

beforeToyotatakesonanystrategies,Toyotamusttaketheefforttounderstandtheroleplayedbythescientificprocessinitsculture,Toyotatookonestepfurthertoevaluateitsproblem-solvingprocess.Toyotamakesitselffullyunderstanditscurrentstateofaffairsandalsothenormsbeforeplanningforimprovements,thisisimportant,andneededtobedonebeforehandbecausebyimplementingthewrongplanorplanthatcontradicts,withthecultureofeitherparty(thecompanyitselforthemarket),themarketmaybeturnedoffandloseinterestaswellasconfidencetowardsToyota.(DonnaA.,2010)

Threats:
Lookingatthebuyingpatternoftoday’speople,thiskindofconsumptionbecomesmoreandmoreless,andthisisduetothecurrentsituationfacedbypeopleduringrecession.Atthispointoftimewhereeconomyisnotdoingquitewellthoughimproving,peopletendtosavemoremoneyforrainydays.(PatrickV.,StijnH.,2010)Asaresult,peoplesendlessontheirwants,Toyotashouldfelltheimpactofsessionbecausepeoplenowspendlessandtheyarenotwillingtospendthousandsofmoneyjustbuyacarwhentheyalreadyhaveone.Asaneffect,Toyota’ssalesfigurewilldropwhileallotherfixedcostsuchasutilitiesexpenses,floorrent,etc.areneededtobepaid,ifthisistobecontinueforalongtime,mostoftheToyota’sfactoriesmaybecloseddown.(NabylaD.,2011)

Asthelargestautomobilemanufacturingcompany,Toyotaattractedintheworld-wideattention,Toyota’sanydecisionmaybecomethefocus,nomatterthestrengths,weaknessesortheopportunitiesandthreats,Toyotawasstaringatbythemediasallovertheworld,becauseToyotaisthefirst.(MariosI.K.,2006)Tocontinuousmaintainthefirstpositionisabigchallengeforthecompanyitself,increasingcostofrawmaterialsandworkers,emergingnewtechnologies,Increasingcompetitorsandsoon,alltheseleadthefirstpositionisnotforever.So,tokeepthefirstpositioninalongertime,whatToyotahastodoisinnovation,notonlyinhumanresourcesector,butalsoinoperationandinformationselection.
